Velčice (Hungarian: Velséc) is a village and municipality in Zlaté Moravce District of the Nitra Region, in western-central Slovakia.
In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1232.
The municipality lies at an elevation of 224 metres (735 ft), and covers an area of 34.705 square kilometres (13.400 sq mi). In 2017 it had a population of 844 inhabitants.[4]
