The article Federalist No. 27 you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Federalist No. 27 for comments about the article, and Talk:Federalist No. 27/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Sm8900, I've added WikiProject History to my watchlist, so I'll definitely be participating in any discussions if I feel I have anything to add. I'll repeat what I said at the Village Pump in that I think the best way to grow a WikiProject is to coordinate activity in some way so that project members have something to work toward. Thanks for helping me with the 11th millennium BC draft!
You just making the page split into 2 sections and adding 2 sources made the page look so much better than what it used to be. I think it will be an article in no time. Also, I checked your 2 sources and they both seem find to me. I will keep on adding more sources to the draf Again, thank you for helping! FerdinandLovesLegos (talk) 17:08, 18 February 2023 (UTC)

Wow. Re: Your Robert Todd Lincoln GA Nom Review...
You failed this GA nom without even giving me a chance to try to collaborate with you to fix any possibly GA-barring issues before you quickly failed it. I strongly disagree with your assessment, especially since I wasn't given a chance to respond to your assessment/criticisms before the GAFail. - Shearonink (talk) 19:33, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
GA nominations are failed when they do not meet the good article criteria, especially when they fall far below the criteria as this one did. You are welcome to renominate at your discretion. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 19:39, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

WikiCup 2023 March newsletter
So ends the first round of the 2023 WikiCup. Everyone with a positive score moved on to Round 2, with 54 contestants qualifying. The top scorers in Round 1 were:
Unlimitedlead with 1205 points, a WikiCup newcomer, led the field with two featured articles on historical figures and several featured article candidate reviews.
Epicgenius was in second place with 789 points; a seasoned WikiCup competitor he specialises in buildings and locations in New York.
FrB.TG was in third place with 625 points, garnered from a featured article on a filmmaker which qualified for an impressive number of bonus points.
TheJoebro64, another WikiCup newcomer, came next with 600 points gained from two featured articles on video games.
Iazyges was in fifth place with 532 points, from two featured articles on classical history.
These contestants, like all the others, now have to start again from scratch. The first round finished on February 26. Remember that any content promoted after that date but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Some contestants made claims before the new submissions pages were set up, and they will need to resubmit them. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. On my talk page, you said You did not close it, you simply deleted the tag. And that gets to the heart of the problem: you're not familiar with these rather complex processes, and it creates extra work for other editors..
You ended it (stopped requesting further comment), but you didn't close it (archive the discussion with a summary of the results). Of course, the creator of an RfC generally shouldn't be the one to close it in most cases. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 17:37, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
Your recent submission to the Evidence page has been reverted by an arbitrator with the summary this is not evidence. Before submitting any further evidence, please read the information at the top of that page about how the evidence phase works. In particular:
Evidence must include links to the actual page diff in question, or to a short page section; links to the page itself are inadequate. Never link to a page history, an editor's contributions, or a log for all actions of an editor (as those change over time), although a link to a log for a specific article or a specific block log is acceptable.

Poor due diligence
This was a pretty poor BLPPROD tagging; a simple glance at the history of the article would have revealed the current version of the article was the result of recent changes that removed the references from it. A frankly bizarre decision to nominate this event for deletion, given it's had such massive coverage, not just in America but even internationally. I see basically everyone has voted to keep. Wjfox2005 (talk) 10:04, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
Hey @Thebiguglyalien. I understand why you nominated the article for deletion, and you're absolutely getting more heat for it than you deserve, but would you consider withdrawing it as a WP:SNOW keep? When the results are clear, as they appear to be in this case, we should make a good faith effort and withdraw a nomination to save time for those involved. It looks like you're relatively new to nominating at AfD, so I feel the need to mention that we'll never be right every time we send an article to AfD, and that's okay. We just try to not make the same mistakes again moving forward. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:29, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
Just wait a few months and re-nom if you still believe it's nn at that point. There is a sad proclivity towards recent events that tends to fizzle out after it's out of the cycle. Curbon7 (talk) 22:09, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
Yeah, in hindsight, while I think ITN->AfD is a possible mechanism in the future, it's probably not an efficient starting point. I'm sure there are thousands of "news cycle" articles from months/years ago that have since been proven non-notable and could be nominated now, but I feel like I'd be venturing into WP:POINT territory with that. Something more systemic/sitewide would be necessary for some sort of compromise. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 22:18, 18 April 2023 (UTC)

I saw that you Proposed deletions of two handball players.
Please note that handball is the second most popular sport in Europe and nearly all player which played for a national team or in a top division are notable. You have to search in other languages as English because handball is completely under presented in English speaking sources.
Malo95 BLPPROD doesn't mean they're non-notable, it means that there should never be a living person on Wikipedia without sources. Handball articles seem to be a lot better with sources then certain other sports; according to petscan, there are currently only two handball BLP articles that don't have sources. Hi there, Thebiguglyalien, and thank you for all the wonderful work you have been doing on women. Particularly impressive are all the First Ladies you have helped to promote to GA and your increasingly frequent DYKs. I'm happy to see that you now appear to be devoting much more of your editing time to writing new articles about women or improving or reviewing existing articles. While you recognize Women in Red on your user page, as far as I can see you are not yet a member of the project. If you would like to join, you can do so under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members. You might be able to help us improve the project and take part in our discussions. But there's no obligation and in any case I look forward to reading your future contributions. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:33, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for sending me this PROD, the one source I had added to this article had been deleted and hidden through a footnote. The source is there but someone thought it better to hide it. Please allow me some time to get this article back to a decent state. Heh, now that I've looked, the edit in which the sources were deleted was by a user who was permablocked for three years on the basis of continued disruptive behaviour. Bobo.05:09, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
Reversal of BLPPROD
On Fazıl Şenel you undid my edit. I looked at the policy and while it is true that if it contains any links it is not eligible, it states those links must support something in the article. The external links in this article do not support anything of that kind. They are simply links to government websites which do not show anything related to him. Should I take this to the 7-day board? It also has a COI and is written more like an ad to me.
It looks like you're correct in this case. Those links did not count against the BLPPROD and I was mistaken to remove it. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 20:55, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
Hi there, not sure if you even noticed, but as Hemiauchenia correctly diagnosed, I managed to misclick and undo a contribution of yours. Just wanted to extend an official apology. I should really stop looking at my watchlist on my phone. Cheers. Dumuzid (talk) 14:39, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
No references on a BLP. Apparently not eligible for BLPPROD due to presence of authority control which has links referring mostly to a totally different person (Raffaello Cossu). No evidence of notability. Looking for sourcing I find only routine coverage or non-independent sources.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
