This page was an unfinished project, which I started yesterday and was going to continue today. The purpose was to provide information about X-Micro in a concise manner, not to advertise anything. Just to provide information of a medium-sized Taiwanese company, which is also a relatively known brand - though more so some years ago than now. Sourcing this information from the internet is an on-going process. How could the page be rewritten in a way that fits your criteria? And how can it even be deleted even before I was able to react? Val — Preceding unsigned comment added by Taipeitech (talk • contribs)
- If an article makes no assertion of notability then it is going to be deleted before the author can react. Obviously it will need links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources before it can survive. Also, I assume you have a strong COI so using the "sponsor" route may be a good way of re-instating the article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:17, 26 July 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-07-26T09:17:00.000Z","author":"RHaworth","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-RHaworth-2011-07-26T09:17:00.000Z-X-Micro","replies":[]}}-->

Thanks for proving the concept behind this underhanded resource. Even though it's been quiet on-wiki, the Wikipedia Ambassador Program has been busy over the last few months getting ready for the next term. We're heading toward over 80 classes in the US, across all disciplines. You'll see courses start popping up here, and this time we want to match one or more Online Ambassadors to each class based on interest or expertise in the subject matter. If you see a class that you're interested, please contact the professor and/or me; the sooner the Ambassadors and professors get in communication, the better things go. Look for more in the coming weeks about next term.
In the meantime, with a little help I've identified all the articles students did significant work on in the last term. Many of the articles have never been assessed, or have ratings that are out of date from before the students improved them. Please help assess them! Pick a class, or just a few articles, and give them a rating (and add a relevant WikiProject banner if there isn't one), and then update the list of articles.
Once we have updated assessments for all these articles, we can get a better idea of how quality varied from course to course, and which approaches to running Wikipedia assignments and managing courses are most effective.

Hi RHaworth. Just a note, a bunch of pages you've deleted remained in the Special:NewPages log even after deletion. They are:
Is there any chance you could mark new pages as patrolled before deletion as otherwise you have to do some annoying hacks to mark them as patrolled - they still appear in the Special:NewPages backlog even though they've been adequately handled by being deleted. You gave me a speedy deletion warning. as I was contesting--proving notability for the artist by your own guidelines--you deleted the page without even hearing my case. and you deleted my contestment because it linked to a deleted article. help
According to notability guidelines for musicians-a feature on the musician must have been featured in a major newspaper--the artist was featured-multiple times-in Newsday the 11th biggest paper in the US as well as many others. you also must have been signed and released 2 or more cd's by a major independent label-the artist was was-to JDub records who have 7 notables on their roster, including Matisyahu. i wrote to you immediately after speedy deletion warning was issued and the article was deleted before I pressed the send button.
So you never even saw the contestments and that's upsetting.
Are not the above satisfication of notable guidelines. I got it from this site. I'm confused

- OK, contestment is a valid word but it is not used very much in Wikipedia. If you saw a lot of the stuff that gets speedily deleted, you would agree that the author should not be given any chance to discuss. But yours was at the other end of the scale where other deletion methods could have been used. I suggest:
- re-word the first sentence in encyclopedic tone
- demote the external links to the end of the article using <ref> markup
- format the external links properly - read this
- re-submit via AfC.
- I can let you have your text - read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 08:46, 28 July 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-07-28T08:46:00.000Z","author":"RHaworth","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-RHaworth-2011-07-28T08:46:00.000Z-613codify-2011-07-27T22:33:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

Looking over this earlier deletion of yours from May 13, I see his publisher is not, as I first thought when seeing it , a vanity publisher. Indeed, it has a cooperative publishing arrangement with Simon & Schuster! [2]. Anyone where the article asserts authorship of a book other than a self published book is clearly not a speedy candidate. And I see from the deleted versions of the article, that the claim is made that he has won an award. The deletion is obviously a very understandable error, and I suggest you restore the fullest version of the article if the deleting admin does not restore it, I shall do so, adding a proper reference. - If you'd chosen G11 you'd be at least playing the right sport; whether you'd have scored is a different matter. RHaworth, if you need to take your cues on deletion policy from other admins, you need to put down the tools and go read the actual policies for a bit. - Actually, I'm not sure that the reliable sources exist in a Wikipedia manner. The fraternity system in the Philippines would make *any* Dean of Greek Affairs in the USA bang his/her head against a wall until the pain stopped. There is *no* interfraternal organization in the Philippines and as such there is no bright line between the better known fraternities like Alpha Phi Omega, Tau Gamma Phi (Triskelion) and Alpha Kappa Rho from the groups that were started last week at University of the Southwest Visayas. Half of the recent mentions of Alpha Phi Omega in the Philippines are either due to the Oblation Run or a brother getting arrested in a Bombing. Also, *considerably* fewer newspapers are accessible on the internet in the Philippines. And Google News doesn't include more that one or two newspapers from the Philippines. It would be like trying to Reference Sigma Alpha Epsilon with just the Washington Post and the Chicago Sun-Times...Naraht (talk) 00:25, 2 August 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-08-02T00:25:00.000Z","author":"Naraht","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-Naraht-2011-08-02T00:25:00.000Z-RHaworth-2011-08-01T19:27:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
Hello, this is a school page and must be put back as they are not subject to A7 per Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion:
A7. No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content). An article about a real person, individual animal(s), organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools). I have no problem with it going through a normal deletion process, but speedy delete cannot be applied in this case. - Must it indeed! It is very much on the edge of what constitutes a school article. Try deletion review. - I apologise if you take the word "must" as abrasive, but consider that the page is not "on the edge": it is an organization of a school, and is comprised solely of graduates of that institution. Since it is not subject to A7, I would appreciate it being restored. If it does get to AfD, that's fine. If it gets a regular deletion tag and cannot be defended, that's fine too. - Outside comment: the complaint about A7 is clearly wrong, of course, but I'd think that being the alumni association associated with a major public university is enough of a claim of significance to survive A7, given that such organizations typically have well-covered lobbying and financial activities. This page was deleted. Do you have it archived? Is it available elsewhere (- on an alternative URL perhaps)? It was an invaluable resource for this industry but has been removed due to a guideline breach.
I would be very keen to see the table again.

I was able to get the new coordiance for the new location for Monroe High School in Tehachapi. If you noticed, the site they were at, the school district is going to sell that former site, so the former Monroe site who knows what they'll do with that, but it will be different. I'll have to get a picture of site they're at now up there. The district hasn't updated it yet on their site, but I'm starting to update it on Wikipedia, since school here starts August 17th. Hello Sir,
My name is Peter. I am attempting to write on SRS needle. I heard about this invention at Rajkot city in India in a Medical conference. I am a Medical student from USA and currently at India spending my summer to learn new things in medicine.
I received a message on Wikipedia that someone else had written on SRS needle and the post was put on speedy deletion due to insufficient information.
I think, I have enough information about the Needle, its invention, uses, inventor, how it is useful in medical science these days and how to make such a needle in very less time.
This needle is sold internationally by dolphin Sutures.

- Why have you changed your name? I think it is highly unlikely that two people would use the phrase "grant me permission" independently. Please stick to your Shah shrenik (talk · contribs) account. The article was deleted because it was a simple copyright violation but it could also have been deleted for lack of links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Also the lack of a decent introductory sentence - "the SRS needle is …" - did not help. I am very dubious about whether this product/technique is particularly notable. I suggest you start with a short paragraph in the hysterectomy article. If that sticks, then a redirect at SRS needle would be acceptable. You deleted my entry a few days ago for two reasons I think.
- Contravention of the user name policy
- Creation of a page with no substantive content
As a novice I wasn't aware of the policies so thanks for pointing them out.
I have created a new account with my real name which I hope satisfies this requirement.
I would still like to create my page for BQFJ. They are a notable organisation and a member of the most notable Qtar Foundation and I believe they warrant inclusion alongside other Open Access publishers such as Hindawi and Springer. I also made minor edits to pages specifically about Open Access Publishing which referred to the empty/stub page for BQFJ; these edits were also removed.
This time I wrote my copy offline and a few minutes ago entered into my BQFJ wikipedia page.
I hope that all is in order. If not I would appreciate some guidance.

Hi Roger,
I received your notification for the proposed deletion of Json2Ldap. To address the point of notability I removed the external links and instead added proper references to an article in Network world magazine and blog posts. The domain of LDAP-related software is such that much information is shared through informal channels (in forums, meetings and mailing lists) and notability may be harder to establish. Also added a background section and rewrote portions of the text to improve precision and neutrality.
Greetings from nearby Sutton, Vladimir

Whoops, my mistake, although most of Koolboy2001's edits don't seem to make any actual sense; either that or he, frankly speaking, has autistic tendencies. I've seen similar behaviour here on WP with a sockpuppeteer who has been making over a thousand accounts whenever he comes across a public terminal or generally anything that he can lay his hands on. I'm sorry for uploading files without a copyright. I am new to wiki editing and I'm learning as I go. I have a question. I have a foto of a friend of mine which I would like to upload to wiki (Adrian Avramia). How do I do it without upsetting all the universe.

I'm working of condensing and rationalising the absurdly over-extensive series of Avaya articles. But I think this particle article, which you deleted as G11, does not meet G11, as it is purely factual -- cf. CSD A11. "An article about a company or a product which describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for this criterion. " I see nothing but such description--too much of it perhaps, but that can be dealt with by editing. (I know I have the ability to undelete it myself and work on it, but I want to ask you first.) - Perhaps I should start lobbying for CSD#A7 to be extended to software. But I will accept this article did contain just one independent link. So feel free to re-instate it if you really think the subject is notable. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:19, 9 August 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-08-09T19:19:00.000Z","author":"RHaworth","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-RHaworth-2011-08-09T19:19:00.000Z-DGG-2011-08-09T18:12:00.000Z","replies":["c-DGG-2011-08-12T14:34:00.000Z-RHaworth-2011-08-09T19:19:00.000Z"]}}-->
- Well, proposals for software to be included in A7 have failed repeatedly, because of the difficulty in making a quick judgment. (I'd be prepared to argue that a product being from a major company is always at least an implied claim to possible importance that needs to be checked further--though certainly not sufficient for notability) Normally, I would merge this article , but I don't like to merge to the highest level--the company--since its a relatively minor product for them, and I haven't found anything else suitable yet. I'll keep looking, but I may restore. My guess if it it goes to AfD the odds are 50:50, but software is a subject where AfD makes altogether most inconsistent decisions. I admit I don't know how we should ideally handle the topic. RHaworth,
Wikipedia informs me that yesterday, 20:36, 10 August 2011, you deleted a page entitled The National Theatre of the World for reasons specified as "A7: Article about an eligible subject, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject." Indeed I received a warning concerning speedy deletion, but, this being my first article, was not aware of its meaning nor what it was suggesting.
Here to establish the importance of The National Theatre of the World's page, I, a member of this theatre group, propose that it should be restored under the understanding that it is a legitimate not-for-profit organization with a necessity to represent itself online in a manner beyond its personal website. It has been operational for several years and it promises, on Wikipedia, not to infringe on any copyright boundaries that could warrant subsequent deletion. Please, do consider this proposition.Montroseworld78 (talk) 18:14, 11 August 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-08-11T18:14:00.000Z","author":"Montroseworld78","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Montroseworld78-2011-08-11T18:14:00.000Z-The_National_Theatre_of_the_World","replies":["c-RHaworth-2011-08-11T19:53:00.000Z-Montroseworld78-2011-08-11T18:14:00.000Z"]}}-->

Hi, hope everything is well. I am a new editor on Wikipedia and I recently posted an article titled JJ Money. However, it was flagged for a speedy deletion, and before I had the opportunity to contact anyone about the issue with the article it was already deleted. This took place on Aug 8, 2011.
I was wondering if you could help me understand why exactly you deleted the article? I am now getting a greater sense of how to create/edit Wikipedia articles and your input would be very helpful, considering your experience on Wikipedia. Also, if you could provide suggestions or alternative ways for me to create the same article to meet the standards outlined on Wikipedia I would really appreciate it. It seems that a member of a much larger 3D game site, Roblox, had spammed the wiki page of Buildism, which had been a respectable page before. Buildism DOES have a large amount of legitimate users, and this certain user who vandalised the page also just spammed the forums at Buildism. I am requesting a reverse of the content of the Buildism wiki page, rather than a deletion.

Ok I will try my best to find such evidence. But, there are hundreds of economic term articles that are on Wikipedia which are rarely used outside of university circles. What's the criteria to stay? Some are stubs while others are complete articles... For example : Income-consumption curve and Isocost. Ok I just finished reading and trying to comprehend the Wikipedia Notability guidelines. I'll surely work on what you've said. The basic gist of the article is that economic principles apply even if its only to a world with one person. Apart from that, cultural references to Robinson Crusoe are almost always made to the deserted island/castaway/survival/marooned part of the story rather than the cannibalism/wars/slavery part... Having an article on the Robinson Crusoe Economy is very important for any encyclopedia. Anyway, I have found a newspaper article referring to a Robinson Crusoe economy. Should I add that to the references or external links?Abhilasha369 (talk) 17:04, 15 August 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-08-15T17:04:00.000Z","author":"Abhilasha369","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Abhilasha369-2011-08-15T17:04:00.000Z-Robinson_Crusoe_Economy","replies":["c-RHaworth-2011-08-16T12:57:00.000Z-Abhilasha369-2011-08-15T17:04:00.000Z"]}}-->

How can I to evidence that it meets the notability criteria for software? This software has many users all over the world and it is in the lead of charts of report generation tools.
It is on the second place in Poll by reportingfor.info [6].
Also Stimulsoft Reports is in the top ten best sellers of ComponentSource [7]
Stimulsoft Reports has a several awards:
- ComponentSource: Top 100 Bestselling Publisher Award 2009-2010;
- SQL Server Magazine: A bronze medal winner of the “2008 Editor’s Best Awards” in Business Intelligence and Reporting Winners;
- ComponentSource: Top 100 Bestselling Publisher Award 2010-2011.
There are many articles about Stimulsoft Reports.
Here is the article in Bean Software [8].
"Stimulsoft, a leading provider of Business Intelligence software, never stops in its researches and masters new technologies." [9]
You can see the Testimonials on Stimulsoft Reports site [10] and list of resellers [11]
There was mentions of Stimulsoft Reports even in 2005 and 2006 in SQL Server Magazine [12] [13]

- WP:MOSTM says 'follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official"'. But if you feel so strongly, what is preventing you from undoing the move - why ask me? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:48, 17 August 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-08-17T17:48:00.000Z","author":"RHaworth","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-RHaworth-2011-08-17T17:48:00.000Z-Mvuijlst-2011-08-17T17:40:00.000Z","replies":["c-Mvuijlst-2011-08-17T18:00:00.000Z-RHaworth-2011-08-17T17:48:00.000Z"]}}-->
- Okay, moved back. I asked because I thought it'd be the polite thing to do. Hi, I was wondering if you could take off the ban(?) on the editing of this page please. I see that it was used for a slang term, however it is a name of a electronic music label (a grime (music) label). http://butterz.co.uk/ - the label's website.

- Unfortunately for you, the most recently deleted version was: "Butterz.co.uk = Elijah & Skilliam are a DJ duo that play Grime Music …". If you can show that the duo/label have become notable since 2009, submit a draft via AfC. If it is approved at AfC, removal of the protection will be non-controversial. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:57, 17 August 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-08-17T22:57:00.000Z","author":"RHaworth","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-RHaworth-2011-08-17T22:57:00.000Z-Malachy123-2011-08-17T22:27:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
Mr. Haworth,
Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia.
I appreciate Wikipedia because I spend most of my life here getting information for fictional novels.
My last novel INVASION USA, I must have spent 1,000+ on Wikipedia researching the past, present and future.
My books have sold over 12,000 copies, my ebook Reader downloads, another 1,000 just this year(2011). In the US I am beginning to get known.
I might not be famous like J K Rawling, but many people mention my futuristic description of the world and where its going.
May I suggest, Sir (and my Grandmother lived in Purley and I have walked barefoot from Purley to Croyden, where my uncle (retired) still lives) that you read my latest novel. If you think it's not worth while, then I will gladly accept to be removed from Wikipedia.
Email me at [redacted] and I will send you a copy. I can send you a PDF.file, or Kindle or Android file (ePub or Mobi) so that you can read my fourth novel on any EReader.
Sincerely, — Preceding unsigned comment added by TOLLAN02 (talk • contribs) 23:35, 17 August 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-08-17T23:35:00.000Z","author":"TOLLAN02","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-TOLLAN02-2011-08-17T23:35:00.000Z-Tolland02_-_self-promoter","replies":["c-RHaworth-2011-08-17T23:52:00.000Z-TOLLAN02-2011-08-17T23:35:00.000Z"]}}-->
- Wikipedia is not the place to promote yourself or your novels. When you become notable someone with no COI will write about you here. The words are J K Rowling and Croydon - e-mail me contact details for your uncle and I will look him up. May I suggest that instead of dreaming up fictional novels, it would be more productive to write real novels? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:52, 17 August 2011 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-08-17T23:52:00.000Z","author":"RHaworth","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-RHaworth-2011-08-17T23:52:00.000Z-TOLLAN02-2011-08-17T23:35:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
