Hi, I see you deleted the SlideDog article. I am new to Wikipedia, but I'm learning fast thanks to you guys who patrol new pages and comment on the content. I rewrote the SlideDog article completely, removing all references to features and other stuff that might seem promotional after getting a speedy deletion tag, but I guess it wasn't sufficient.
Right now I'm not sure what to do. I could argue that for instance the wiki page on the other ones in the Presenentation Software category look just like the SlideDog article, but I understand why the "other pages exist" - argument isn't a valid one on wikipedia. However, may I ask you for a few quick pointers on how not to get a speedy deletion tag when writing an article similar to the ones in "Presentation Software"? Hello RHaworth! I am pretty new to all of this and I did request speedy deletion of User:Jyeager14/The Covenant School (Tennessee), but now I realized that was in folly. I need to recreate the page with mostly similar content, but I am unsure if I would be violating any Wikipedia rules or what not. Can you simply "undelete" the entry or is there something else I need to do? Thanks in advance for your help! You also need to learn to provide a link to any page about which you are talking. Restored - I should never have deleted it. I have this habit of opening a batch of pages marked for speedy and then working through them taking deletion decisions. In your case at least six minutes elapsed between my opening and doing the delete. Hi, I am new to Wikipedia and I was just sitting down to edit a few entries and add MegaMace Fitness Productions, but I saw that it was deleted. I thought I was following the rules. I am not affiliated with this company. I am a fan of one of their projects, so I learned more about them and wanted to share. Is there anyway to get it back if I make changes? Hi, sorry for interrupt, User:DrDrake100 changed unsourced music genres (actually it's a music style), such as David Bowie's 1999 album 'Hours...' and 2002 album Heathen, both actually are rock music albums. I just noticed that you speedily deleted the article DJ Rush on January 19, 2011. I highly dispute that this article was eligible for speedy deletion. Maybe he isn't very much renown on his home turf (I can't judge about that), but he certainly is a big name in his scene in Europe. Just look for DJ Rush on amazon.de ([1]) and you will see he has dozens of releases available in Europe. He also is a major act in European dance clubs. I guess since the "hard techno" scene is kind of underground, there is less coverage in "mainstream" media. Hi Roger,
Thank you for directing me here. As I'm sure you can tell, I am not very familiar with Wikipedia's procedures.
The volunteer who created the page has given me access to their account to contact you here.
Irishwaterdogs Warriors.
I have copied my email from earlier below and would appreciate any assistance you could give.
Thank you,
Dave.
This is Dave McDaid here, founder of the non-profit Irishwaterdogs Warriors program in Florida, USA.
A registered 501c3 Non-Profit http://www.irishwaterdogswarriors.org
We recently had a page created in Wikipedia about our non-profit organization, but sadly it seems to have been deleted.
Irishwaterdogs Warriors.
It seems the reason was for 'unambiguous advertising or promotion' and I am sure the volunteer who created the page never meant for that to happen.
Our organization has Chapters in several States here in the US and does amazing work with the VA (United States Department of Veterans Affairs)
in rehabilitating our injured and disabled combat Veterans through outdoor adaptive sports. We are an accredited organization by the department in Washington DC
and provide the best care and adaptive therapy for our injured Service Personnel.
I would be personally extremely grateful if you could help us in having our page restored without the content that appears to violate Wikipedia's policy.
Thanking you in advance,
Dave. — SwimmerGirl Jo (talk • contribs) 20:20, 8 February 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-02-08T20:20:00.000Z","author":"SwimmerGirl Jo","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-SwimmerGirl_Jo-2013-02-08T20:20:00.000Z-Deletion_of_Irishwaterdogs_Warriors","replies":["c-RHaworth-2013-02-08T21:17:00.000Z-SwimmerGirl_Jo-2013-02-08T20:20:00.000Z"]}}-->
Releasing ones user password is a very serious wikicrime. I am very tempted to block SwimmerGirl Jo for that reason. Under the circumstances, I would have accepted an IP address submission. My standard message applies: kindly wait until someone with no COI thinks your organisation is notable and writes about it here. If you insist on trying to force an article in: create a draft without that horrible shouting and find a "sponsor". — RHaworth (talk·contribs) 21:17, 8 February 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-02-08T21:17:00.000Z","author":"RHaworth","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-RHaworth-2013-02-08T21:17:00.000Z-SwimmerGirl_Jo-2013-02-08T20:20:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
Thank you for your response.
I would like to address some of your statements below.
Please reference where releasing ones user password is "a very serious wikicrime"?
When I was contacted by wikipedia's own editors to to give a written release for pictures to be used on this page, I was contacted through the Swimmergirl account.
They did not seem to have a problem with that then, but some how, you do?
You "are very tempted to block Swimmergirl Jo's account" for that reason?
The account has been transferred to our organization by SwimmerGirl.
Your threat to arbitrarily block someone's account and close a dialog is not only against the free sharing information that wikipedia stands for but is more suited to the book burnings and arbitrary "deletions" of the late 1930's.
"If I insist on trying to force and article in"
At what point have I tried to "force" an article in? Someone who volunteered at our program took it upon themselves to submit an article about our organization.
You, took it upon yourself to delete it. citing the reason for removal as 'unambiguous advertising or promotion'.
At which point I contacted you and graciously asked for your guidance with regard to this matter.
Up to and including the typing of this response, you have still not provided the information asked of you, but instead threaten to shut down an account.
"Create a draft without that horrible shouting"?
I had to look up the link provided to see what you meant by this.
IRISHWATERDOGS in all caps is a registered trademark with the USPTO. It was not used in the page entry, only when referencing the parent company.
If your same logic were used across wikipedia, there would be no entry for many pages, but yet, they exist. Due to the fact I'm sure that they have not run afoul of your arbitrary enforcement.
"Kindly wait until someone with no COI thinks your organisation is notable and writes about it here"?
I believe someone already did just that. And you deleted it.
Not only do they find our organization notable, but every Radio and TV network in the US has featured our organization and written articles on it.
All the links to which, were in fact included in the page that you deleted.
With your current points addressed above, I would like to include.
That when I contacted you, I did so with politeness and respect. As the founder of an organization that helps people, I reached out to you
for help with this matter, to ask for guidance and with the belief that I would be addressed with respect in return.
However, your curt, rude answers and threatening tone have obviously proved that a pointless approach and in fact made me question the motives for your deletion of our organization's entry.
The article on our organization did not contain any advertising or promotion. It was a factually correct entry that had multiple independent sources from FOX news to NPR linked to it.
If sources as diametrically opposed as both FOX and NPR are quoted, I believe that would in fact qualify the article as being balanced and unbiased by any standard of measurement.
Which leads me to believe that the motive for the article's deletion has more to do with exercising arbitrary decisions to suit your own criteria.
I will take this thread, your deletion and responses to wikipedia's admin section to have our entry reviewed for re-inclusion.
And again, I will point out, that examples for your reason to delete 'unambiguous advertising or promotion' have still not been provided.
Please continue your work. And if you can't be helpful, be rude. Yours,
Dave McDaid.

Hi Roger, I too am only new here, and would appreciate your help and advice.
The "Whole Woman Posture" which was tagged for "Speedy deletion", and was in fact speedily deleted, actually refers to a postural exercise which has been demonstrated to assist in the treatment of Female genital prolapse. I think I can see where a problem might lie in that "Whole Woman" is also a registered trademark, and this article could be construed as mere advertising. That was not my intention.
I would like to be able to re-write the article, perhaps under a different title, so that it becomes a true encyclopedic entry discussing the non-surgical treatment of Female genital prolapse,or Female pelvic organ prolapse. This is quite an important subject for many women, and there appear to be only two non-surgical treatments to date: the Kegel exercise(pelvic floor exercise) and the Whole Woman Posture (repositioning of the pelvic organs).
You can probably see my dilemma: if the Kegel exercise entry is not considered spam, then neither should the Whole Woman Posture, but perhaps under a different name, and perhaps written in a better way, with more reference.
Please advise me as to how to re-instate this entry, perhaps under the title Pelvic organ re-positioning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fabprint (talk • contribs) 00:32, 9 February 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-02-09T00:32:00.000Z","author":"Fabprint","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Fabprint-2013-02-09T00:32:00.000Z-Deletion_of_Whole_Woman_Posture","replies":["c-RHaworth-2013-02-09T00:38:00.000Z-Fabprint-2013-02-09T00:32:00.000Z"]}}-->
Its a matter of notability. I submit that kegels are an order of magnitude more notable than your exercises. I apologize for the delay in contacting you; I was just swamped in real life. Regarding the article Xenitis, I'm not happy with the deletion. I strongly believe that the subject is notable enough to warrant a separate article in Wikipedia, and I was in the process of adding around five more references to the article to back the content I added. I believe that the deletion called for a debate, an RFC on the deletion perhaps. Hello, you recently deleted Mike Dailly (game designer). Would it be possible for you to place a copy of the article content on my user page please, so that I can see what content it had in it and improve it. I'm not contesting the deletion as I don't know what content the article had. But if the nomination was by User:71.240.218.211 then I believe it to be a flawed nomination as they are working under the opinion that Mike Dailly is a fictitious person, which he is not ([2][3][4]). As you can see, being one of the co-creators of Grand Theft Auto doesn't make him as important as Pelé or The Pope, but it does elevate him slightly above the rank of fictitious person, which the IP user has been labelling him as. I am puzzled why the page TRANSYT was deleted in December 2012. I have re-checked the notability criteria and believe that it satisfied these. I realise this can still be subjective, so maybe I am missing something. I'd like to re-establish the page, but don't went to waste effort if it is simply going to be deleted again, so I need to understand the deficiencies of the original article. I did not create the topic, which was a number of years old, but have edited it occasionally in order that it was not wrong/out-of-date. I believe the content was of sufficient interest in its own right (i.e. significant coverage). TRANSYT represents one of, if not THE first ever software programs for optimising traffic signals, and as such has a particular historical interest to readers. I notice that a related page on TRANSYT-7F still exists, and makes reference to its parent software, i.e. TRANSYT. This link of course is now broken, as are other references to TRANSYT from such topics as "Traffic Signals". I'd appreciate it if you could either re-instate the page (ideal) with recommendations so that I can immediately take action to improve it, or please summarise the differences between the topics TRANSYT 7F and TRANSYT, so that I can see why one still exists and the other is deleted. I can then feed this advice into the page before I recreate it. Why are people incapable of providing links when they talk here about articles? The amazing thing is that in eight years no-one had turned it into an article. It was lacking in wikilinks, it looked more than a product data sheet than an article and it was totally lacking in links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. But because it had survived eight years, perhaps it deserves better than straight deletion. I have restored it to User:AndTonic/transyt. Please do me the favour of sending me a copy of the deleted article on E. Roy Fitzgerald. I might be able to contribute additional information.
Great Aunt Sue (of Port Arthur, Texas) was married to Mr. Fitzgerald. We have a picture of them dated 7/9/1940.
I spent the past weekend talking with an aunt and uncle near Pt. Arthur who knew Mr. Fitzgerald. He was once friends with Al Capone and lived in a large house in Winnetka, Illinois. He owned bus lines in Chicago and, eventually, Port Arthur.
Thank you,

I normally refuse to talk to IP addresses but I am assuming that you do not have a Wikipedia account so in this case I will talk. I have restored the article here. The article was created by Stidmatt (talk·contribs) who is still active so it might be useful to contact them. I was interested in the Al Capone reference. In today's "green-thinking" world what E. Roy did might be considered a bigger crime than anything Al Capone did. You deleted Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/O'Reilly House Museum as a copyright violation. At the AfC help desk the author, Malitza, asks about the reasons for the deletion and says that the text was entirely in her own words. If it's the same text as in her sandbox and on her user page, my quick Google search for some characteristic phrases indeed found no non-Wikipedia sources. Since I can't check the deleted draft, could you please have another look and tell Malitza why it was a copyright infringement? If the sandbox and the user page are indeed the same, they might also have to be deleted, but since I couldn't tell what copyright they might infringe, I haven't tagged them. I've got what I was looking for, thank you. As for your remark, interpreting is as a genuine question rather than snide rhetorics, my primary interest in contributing to wikipedia is about things about which long essays is not the first thing that comes to one's mind: I've long left long essays to wikipedians who know English better than me. I consider the primary importance of wikipedia is its "interwikilinkedness" of (verifiable) information, i.e., its value is primarily a navigation tool in the sea of internets among flotsam of bullshit and sargasses of deception. While FA/GA/DYK are noble goals, IMO it is not how wikipedia beats EB and Encarta: it is WP:6D. - Altenmann >t19:20, 16 February 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-02-16T19:20:00.000Z","author":"Altenmann","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Altenmann-2013-02-16T19:20:00.000Z-Altenmann-2013-02-15T03:35:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. These seem an inappropriate application of G7; JohnnySeoul (talk·contribs) wasn't the sole contributor and per his user page is trying to withdraw his contributions (which he can't do). Would you consider reversing? Note that some have previous deletions in order reduce size per fair use so those shouldn't be restored. Yes there were. A bunch of the speedy tags were reverted for being invalid and I think a couple others were deleted a day earlier via FFD. There were a number of other issues: opaque background, border, .png when .svg would be better and most importantly fair-use when free versions can surely be obtained. Probably, yes. In fact, some of the editors at WP:NFL suspect that some older versions might address those issues. Most of them aren't sysops and are therefore unable to tell. Hi,
I recently noticed that you deleted the page My Everlasting Zeal which is an album by King Mez. Although the artist doesn't have a Wikipedia page (yet), I believe the album should be listed because it is referenced in many popular blogs and had thousands of downloads. The artist King Mez has worked with stars such as J. Cole and Wiz Khalifa, and adding this album to the current knowledge base of WIkipedia can be beneficial as he is a rising star. Please let me know what you think about this, because I plan on re-publishing the article. I already talked to BWILKENS (Deleting editor, see his talk page/archives) he told me to use AFC to restore the page. I'm fully aware that the Crown the Empire page was previously deleted as discussed in the talk section of the page that I added the references that made them actually notable (Charted on multiple billboard charts) per WP:Notability (music). How do you expect me to see the deleting admin's talk page when you cannot manage to provide a link to it? Indeed you shout the name and mis-spell it. Inasmuch as my start here was none to your liking, I would like to thank you for the second chance. I like to think I have something of value to contribute, and would be most appreciative if you reviewed me as an editor. I would really like a moment of your time regarding Talk:Social market economy and your input how to deal with what I feel are problematic editors. I've gone as far as I can within reason and I'm just at a loss for words. Should I leave it alone, did I over react (what wrongs can I avoid), and what would be a suitable course of action? Dear RHaworth, if possible, please reconsider the deletion of the Mediox page. The page was created in 2008 or earlier and was expanded by many Wikipedia editors. It shows the company history as it went from a multimedia touchscreen integration into the fast food tray to becoming a tablet, smartphone and cell phone company after being acquired several times and changing the model several times.
Even before iPhone and iPad hit the market, it designed multimedia touchscreen devices with capacitive charging and posted demo videos online as well as applied for patents ([5]). In 2008 the founders of the company approached Jimmy Wales to partner on delivering Wikipedia content on the multimedia fast food tray devices and personally discussed the concept with Steve Jobs. So at least it shows the history of invention and demos of new technology, which did not yet hit the market and provides value to Wikipedia readers.
I am proud to work for this company in its present state. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mediox (talk • contribs) 21:44, 25 February 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-02-25T21:44:00.000Z","author":"Mediox","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Mediox-2013-02-25T21:44:00.000Z-Deletion_of_Mediox","replies":["c-RHaworth-2013-02-26T11:42:00.000Z-Mediox-2013-02-25T21:44:00.000Z"]}}-->

When an article does contain a bit of evidence, my standard prod is "no evidence of notability" - a wording to which nobody has objected. Hi RHaworth, thank you for bringing your concern for this article to my attention. I’d like to work on getting it to the standard you think it should be at in order to be included in Wikipedia. Addressing A7, this organization is credible (A7, 2nd bullet: “It is irrelevant whether the claim of notability within the article is not sufficient for the notability guidelines. If the claim is credible, the A7 tag can not be applied.”). Perhaps I need more references to the organization and the event that they support called, Neighbourhood Toy Store Day? Hi, I was a little surprised at your deletion of Mikhail Pakhomov as members of Parliament are usually deemed notable, even for somewhat smaller countries than Russia. I was looking at it at the same time as you, and nearly deleted it G10 as it was unsourced and negative, but decided it was better to source it myself. So I restored and sourced it, hope you don't mind, feel free to AFD it if you think members of the Russian Parliament don't meet wp:politician, cheers and maybe see you next Sunday at the London meetup? Well I added a reliable source to the material that I restored, so I'm certainly not in breach of that policy. But burden does not trump our speedy deletion policy - you seem to think that simply being unsourced is a valid reason for speedy deletion. It isn't and I doubt if you could get consensus to make it so, but if you want to argue for that I'd suggest starting a thread at Wikipedia_talk:Speedy_deletions. Hi, Roger, I was in the middle of editing the article when you deleted it. It's not really about the person (the creator of thea article), but about an Indian village, which albeit unsourced, I believe exists. I was going to clean it up, add a sources tag, and put it in a stub cat. I don't generally like facilitating the creation of unsourced articles, but we tend to be a bit more lenient with villages and other places. Let me know if you mind if I restore it. It won't bother me if you say no. :-) --Bbb23 (talk) 17:58, 2 March 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-03-02T17:58:00.000Z","author":"Bbb23","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Bbb23-2013-03-02T17:58:00.000Z-Solaithevanpatti","replies":["c-RHaworth-2013-03-02T18:08:00.000Z-Bbb23-2013-03-02T17:58:00.000Z"]}}-->

Hello! I am confused as to why you deleted this page? It seems to be fairly legit content, and there are several bios with NSF CAREER awards with nowhere to link to. Could you help me understand? Dear Mr. Haworth,
I noticed that you deleted the Nanacoco article, on the ground that it is and advertisement. As I am new to Wikipedia, I would very much appreciate your expert comments on how I can write article about a fashion brand that would past the wiki criteria. Our intension is only to report fact and post historical development of a fashion brand with the hope that oneday it could be useful to anyone who is a student of fashion or have interested in fashion industry. Although, this is rarely done by any fashion companies as they would most likely treat it as company secret, but in our oppionion - sharing is better. As we would continue to add more and more content to wiki on our brand, I want to make sure that we do it the right way.
Is it a particular sentence? word? link? I think I could remove the words "leading manufacturer", and also the links to our own webpage and facebook.
The rest of the links were real discussion and citation that other website have mentioned about our brand. Can I still refer to these third party website and articles?
In comparison:
I saw an article on Harajuku Lovers, which seems to be well accepted. So I guess writing about fashion brand is not inappropriate, but I would like to get your oppinion on how Harajuku Lovers article would be less advertising than Nanacoco.
Also, I would appreciate if you could restore Nanacoco article, so that I can don't have to start from scratch again.....
Much appreciated your help on this regards,
Oldprame 14:09, 5 March 2013 (Thailand)
We were not impressed by the references which fell short of our criteria for significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. What a ridiculous idea to omit links to the company's own website. But you did not provide one - presumably because the company does not have a website yet. Other stuff exists is never an argument and Harajuku Lovers is a very bad example to chose - it is an hang over when Wikipedia was less fussy about evidence. Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk·contribs) 11:16, 5 March 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-03-05T11:16:00.000Z","author":"RHaworth","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-RHaworth-2013-03-05T11:16:00.000Z-Deletion_of_Nanacoco","replies":[]}}-->
Thank you, and a steep learning curve for me. Our brand is 13 year and still going strong. It is wellknown to customer from many asian countries, but perhaps less so to Westerners. The company website is undergoing facelift at the moment, and is meant to be included in the article later on. [1]. Harajuku was a bad example, but looks like Tokyogirl79 is reacting quickly to add references to TV medias and a book! I guess when the brand owner being a wellknown celebrity, the brand can easily gain media promotion.
The Evidence I provided were real coverage by independent websites and TV programs to advise traveller from Japan and Korea on the hot shopping destination, but how can it be proven to you in this case? These are old coverage by the way. Notable sources such as CNN, BBC, or even Fashion channel will be unlikely. So eventhough if any person with no COI would want to write about us, what would constitute a notable source for them to reference?
Could I have a copy of Kotava?
