Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Hi, I'm MrX. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Dave London, and have un-reviewed it again. If you have any questions, please ask them on my talk page. Thank you. - MrX01:49, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
Hi. I don't know what went wrong. It looked good on the preview so any help to migrate it over would be appreciated. About his title. George E. Mowry is what is on most of his books. His middle name is Edwin which is rarely used. Oh, I see you came to the same conclusion. Any other questions?

Just learning how to use this talk thingy. Your method works best when users can actually read. But, here I am. Keep up the good work. Now, how do I sign off with time? Afrothetics (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 22:31, 11 August 2014 (UTC)

about these fairies
Thank you for your thanks about Morris Twelve. I have a personal problem and I wondered if you might be able to help. My brother tries to make a living as a painter (of pictures). He is now suffering advanced painter's block (I could hear the sudden rush of blood to the head even over the telephone) because I pointed out to him the other day that a kinsman (ancestral cousin) painted fairies and they (those paintings) now sell for up to £500,000. You can see some of the kinsman's fairies here: fairy fitzgerald. How do I get my brother painting again? Please! Best, Eddaido (talk) 12:13, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
Point out the window and tell him to paint whatever's there, and not to worry about if the painting is any good. I assume he enjoys painting, so he really shouldn't mind. And don't expect him to be another Fitzgerald. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 14:11, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
If an Oiyarbepsy is a person who can see fairies, is there any similar name for a persone that is able to paint them? Even worse, how would you call a fairy with a dumb ear drum for Nato? Huldufólkwhisperer?Serten (talk) 07:35, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

I see. Still, I personally would have waited for the Redirects for Discussion to end before doing it. How To separate redirect from main article
Hi, Oiyarbepsy. My question is really in the subject line, and that is how do you go about separating a redirect link from the main article? I want to separate "local knowledge" from "traditional knowledge" as these two concepts are not the same. Thanks for this. Afrothetics (talk) 18:21, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Oiyarbepsy. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. The only thing you have done with your edits is add links to your PDF file that is nothing more than an advertisement for your business. The fact that you've used more than one account to do this is plenty of grounds for a permanent ban. What's sad is that Dirsmith might even be appropriate material for an article, but I won't let you write it. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:52, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Dear Oiyarbepsy:
Thank you for your complimentary comments. Our grandson somehow found that the Chicago Film Archives had in their archival collection some 600 films done by Rhodes Paterson for Container Corporation of America about 40 years ago. We called their chief conservator and asked about their goals in archiving and preserving such films. After learning about their extraordinary conservation efforts we offered to provide them with finished photos, drawings other films and images to include in their historic archives which they gratefully accepted. This is what they have placed on their site and why we included the link on Walter Paepcke's and Container Corporation of America's pages. Lost in the mists of time were memories of Paepcke's and Rhodes Patterson's decision to include Suzanne’s and Ron’s work in their “Great Ideas of Western Man” film series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mozza&pomo (talk • contribs) 14:24, 21 August 2014
Dear Oiyarbepsy:
You may have overlooked the main reason is help The Chicago Film Archives wonderful efforts. Please rethink your logic. We are not looking for promotion of our company on Wikipedia. How would you place the photos and other material so that it may help them? Shall they place them on Wikipedia in another format?
Looking forward for your advice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mozza&pomo (talk • contribs) 14:58, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
The PDF you posted everywhere was created only to promote a company. All of your other links and material were to promote the Chicago Film Archives, which is not the same thing as improving WIkipedia. It is not our job to help the film archives, they need to pay professionals for promotion like any other legitimate company or organization would do. No legitimate organization promotes by spamming Wikipedia, so your actions are actual harmful to the film archive as they damage its reputation.
Images can be uploaded to Wikipedia itself, but only if they are in public domain or Creative Commons licensed. I doubt that any of your images meet copyright requirements, so probably none of them could be uploaded.
The correct thing to do is to add relevant content to relevant articles using information from the archives. The content needs to be your own - no copy-pasting. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 15:06, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Dear Oiyarbepsy:
Sincere thanks for sharing your experience, comments and observations. We are not in your realm of editorial expertise. Think about this over the weekend and we can talk more Monday. CFA is a not-for-profit cultural arts organization which is the main reason to help their wonderful efforts. Wikipedia, as we understand its reason for existence, is to be an encyclopedic resource for the world in general. We use your site many times to gain just such knowledge about a topic, company, person or institution. It is simply outstanding as such.
Regarding your observation ... "Images can be uploaded to Wikipedia itself, but only if they are in public domain or Creative Commons licensed. I doubt that any of your images meet copyright requirements, so probably none of them could be uploaded." ...
All of the drawings, photos and images in our pdf file are actually prepared by and photographed by Ron. Some of them have been uploaded years ago as in the Public Domain and Wikimedia Creative Commons, having been given to commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File in a number of formats and sizes for public use. They all meet the copyright requirements as signed when uploading ... "I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby publish it under the following licenses under CC-BY-SA-2.0 and GFDL. Somehow you inadvertently erased the distinguished record and listing of Ronald L. Dirsmith, FAAR, Fellow in Architecture at the American Academy in Rome, 1960 when you chose to delete the page, Ronald L. Dirsmith from Wikipedia. Please restore the page and reference in whatever form is appropriate. We will agree to post no notices or articles on this page as we work with you to resolve how to write and edit support articles for the not-for-profit cultural arts organization, The Chicago Film Archives Collection.
I did not delete them. I nominated them for deletion, and an administrator (someone else) agreed and deleted it. The page you wrote was so far from appropriate that there is nothing to restore - we don't delete pages if there is something worth saving. To summarize your article: It was not actually about Dirsmith. It was a blatant copyright violation. It was written to promote the film archive instead of teaching people about the person. You need to actually write an article, and not just copy-paste your boilerplate promotional material that has little to do with the subject. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 02:15, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
ManaBus.com
Hi Oiyarbepsy, thanks for tagging the article ManaBus.com for deletion. I have good reason to believe the subject of the article will become more notable, but I accespt your points about the article as it stands. It would be appreciated if no steps were taken to make it difficult to re-dreate the article in future when the subject of the article reaches a higher state of notability. Assuminggood faith, Peter Nankai (talk) 04:16, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
If you move it to User:Nankia/Manabus or something like that, the reasons for deletion would no longer apply and you could keep it as long as you were working on it. That might be the best approach. Also, I'd leave the .com off of the article title personally. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 05:52, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
New Disambiguation page
Hello, Oiyarbepsy. Need to create a disambiguation page for articles with the same name. The help page on the subject is not clear to me. I created a page for Charles Walters, Jr. However, most people know him from his career and writings as only Charles Walters. However, there is already a Charles Walters page for another important person of the same name, so this is the page that appears in the search. I want to create a disambiguation page so that users can choose which Charles Walters they need information about. So, how do this? Afrothetics (talk) 08:28, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
Fortunately, with only three people, there really isn't much to it: Charles Walters (disambiguation). The primary Charles Walters is listed first with his name in bold. For the others, use * at the beginning of the line to create the bullet. All entries for persons need date of birth and death if known, nationality, and occupation. The note at the bottom is created with {{hndis}}. If that's too hard to remember, you're perfectly okay with putting {{disambiguation}}. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 14:31, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
We understand that the user page User:Heddoko has been delete, under section G11, for an apparent violation of Wikipedia's policy.
In our plans to contribute encyclopedic content related to e-textiles, motion capture, movement precisions, bio-medial engineering, electronic engineering, 3D rendering, and distributed computing, we though it would be pertinent to have a user page that describes and gives a bit of insight as to who the originator of this content is.
We are committed to comply with Wikipedia's policies and by no means want to violate any rules.
We wish, under your guidance, to have our user page re-instated and we will make all the necessary changes to be in full compliance.
Our objective with the user page is to be transparent and open on who we are and what we do, to add to the credibility of our contributions.
We thank you in advance for the attention you will bring to our request.
Actually, I didn't delete the page and I can't restore it. The administrator who deleted it was RHaworth (talk·contribs). He almost certainly will not restore the page, but he might e-mail you the text. Since your username is the name of a company, it will likely be blocked (I'm surprised that you weren't, actually) - our username policy requires that all usernames represent a single person, and usernames that represent companies or organizations are not permitted. Therefore, you will need to create a new user that is not affiliated with your company, and you will need to learn to write neutrally and not have your text sound like an advertisement. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 18:45, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
RHaworth, I disagree with blocking account creation. I get the impression above that the person does want to constructively contribute, and they did create a userpage clearly documenting that they represented a company, so we know they weren't trying to hide their potential conflicts-of-interest. I suggest you allow this person to create a new username that is not promotional. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 19:05, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
I never fully understand "block account creation" and "autoblock any IP addresses". I believe that both only last for 24 or 48 hours but since I have just told the guy to start a new account, I have changed the block settings. — RHaworth (talk·contribs) 19:12, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
why redirect AHEPA HOOSIER DISTRICT NO. 12 back to main page?
Why is the AHEPA HOOSIER DISTRICT NO. 12 link redirected to the main page and not allowed to have its own page with its historical information?
also, do you know of an easy format/edit way where the chapters can be 3 sets of 100 going across horizontally across the page.
I just saw your message. the reason wanted a seperate page for each district is becasue each district along with their respective chapters have given back to their local communites in substantial and many cases unique ways. Many districts do a lot of thier own work for the community that is seperate than the national lodge effort. with out the national page getting too long with district information, i thought it be best to keep the distirct info seperate since they all have a long list of local community involement and giving back in both time and treasure which in almost all cases is recognized by local leadership (mayors, governors, US reps). it is a 100% grassroots organization and not every chapter and district support the AHEPA mission and their local communities in the same way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Njk33 (talk • contribs) 20:16, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
Well, here's the problem - there are a lot of loosely organized organizations, meaning organizations that gives their local branches a lot of leeway. The Baptist Church, for example, let's their local churches pretty much do what they like. Naturally, we wouldn't create a separate article on each Baptist Church - some have some articles, usually if they have a landmark building, but not for most. Finally, we are not the place for you to promote your organization's effort. See Wikipedia:Alternative outlets for some sites that might be appropriate. I saw that you reviewed a page that I created. So just wondering if you can review these two pages for me as well? Don't like seeing them as unreviewed. They both have proper references, The TaeTiSeo and Holler (EP). Thanks so much.--TerryAlex (talk) 03:54, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
To answer your request about english titles, these will come in due time. Currently they are blank so I can check the official titles rather than adding unofficial titles. Normally I would add titles from an existing list, however the current release of the series is only a few weeks old and I would like to be sure they are the correct ones. However if absolutely necessary I can add the titles from an older list in the short term. SephyTheThird (talk) 01:08, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

Notability: Cuthbert Buckell
Hello! I noticed a notability tag you placed on an article within a minute or so of its creation, and was curious what criteria you were using? The page is Cuthbert Buckell, who was a Lord Mayor of London. Per WP:POLOUTCOMES: "Mayors of cities of at least regional prominence have usually survived AFD, although the article should say more than just "Jane Doe is the mayor of Cityville"... City councillors and other major municipal officers are not automatically notable, although precedent has tended to favor keeping members of the main citywide government of internationally famous metropolitan areas such as Toronto, Chicago, Tokyo or London." I'm of the opinion (though I will admit to being biased) that "Mayor of London" is significant enough to establish notability, and the article has several secondary sources attached.PohranicniStraze (talk) 06:17, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
Hello, I've seen all the work you've done reviewing all the redirects I've had to create, and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to make it so you don't have to do that. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks, SchreiberBiketalk04:08, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
I was hoping for an idea which would decrease the amount of work which needs to be done rather than increase it. I've seen categorization of redirects, but see little value in them. I had hoped they were added by an automated process rather than taking up an editor's time. I'll try it for a while and see how it feels. Will the new redirects still need to be reviewed by someone even if I put the category in? Thanks, SchreiberBiketalk05:03, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
They still need reviewed, but it's a lot quicker, just a matter of clicking the button. The tags will speed reviews in some cases, since I'll know why the redirects are there. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 14:22, 18 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Oiyarbepsy. You recently edited both Pseudoword and Accidental gap, adding information to the effect that pseudo-words are "the main type of accidental gap." You did not cite any sources in your edits to either article, however. As far as I know, no one in linguistics or its various subfields defines "pseudo-word" as an accidental gap per se. Of course, pseudo-words such as wug must fill an accidental gap. Futhermore, as Maarten Jansen notes in the Encyclopedia of Applied Linguistics, "[Lexical] gaps often get filled by made-up words, which Fellbaum (1996) calls pseudo-words." That is not the same, however, as saying, "A pseudoword ... is the most common meaning of accidental gap." That is a bit like saying "a plug is the most common type of drain", if you see what I mean.
@Cnilep: My first instinct was to propose merging the two articles to be honest - but upon seeing the other uses of the term, realized that probably wasn't best. I still stand behind the idea that a psuedoword is a subcategory of accidental gap, and should have a mention in the accidental gap article, but I'm not strongly opinionated on this. Foucault's lectures at the Collège de France
Thanks for the feedback. I agree the article is too long and needs to be reduced. The lectures are an important publication, which only recently are avaible in English in a series of books. Like his other books, this series should afford its own article. Mootros (talk) 04:02, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
@Mootros: However, for books and lectures such as this, it's best for the article to be about the lecture itself, and not about every topic the lecturer discusses. So, it should summarize when and where the lectures happened, how they were scheduled/planned, the critical response, while the content should be a somewhat short summary. Foucault discusses a lot of topics here, and his viewpoints would be a worthy addition to many Wikipedia articles. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 04:15, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
Absolutely. All this content has been moved (and reduced[!]) from another article that was mainly an undergraduate essay copy-pasted into WP. Most of this was not relevant to topic over there. I'm trying to further reduce this here and will add some of the background and reception later on. We might possibly further split this as the book series was published in seven books[?].., but I'm not sure yet. I've exhausted my "commitment quota" for today but will be back. Again, many thanks. Mootros (talk) 04:30, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for marking this as patrolled, I've taken a knife to the summary, and have removed the {{plot}}, please feel free to re-add the template if you still think it is too long.--KTo288 (talk) 14:25, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
Looks good. I noticed you said fictionalized account - if it was about a real even I'd tell you to provide a link to that. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 14:27, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, and I've added an unreferenced to tag to the article as a whole, even works of fiction need verifiable references.--KTo288 (talk) 15:41, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
"wind up"
"Wind up" means to close down some company, body, or organisation. It is a metaphor for winding up a ball of string or thread after sewing. It is quite common in Britain. RGloucester — ☎23:14, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
But the term is ambiguous. Wind up also refers to wind-up toys, and also to pitchers in cricket and baseball, and both of those examples refer to starting something new, the exact opposite of your use. Wind down is sometimes used to stop something, but why do that when you have a simple word like end available? Oiyarbepsy (talk) 00:16, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
"Wind up" isn't ambiguous in British English. It is the standard term for closing down organisations. In fact, it is a legal term. I've never heard "wind down". RGloucester — ☎21:57, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
14ymedio
Hello Oiyarbepsy! I am a contributor to 14ymedio and think that this page meets the notability guidelines of Wikipedia. This page is about Cuba's first ever independent news site and deserves a separate entry. This fact is mentioned on the page as well and hence does not qualify for the A7 tag (no indication of importance). All of the citations are from prominent journalistic sources that are external like reuters, fox news etc. I am sure this page will grow as the site ages.
Please clarify why you think this is a candidate for speedy deletion?
@Foobar2014: Well that was a month ago, and it hasn't been a speedy candidate for weeks. The article is significantly improved since I saw it last month - that said, looking back, I consider that speedy delete tag to be an error and I apologize for it. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 00:13, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Hello Oiyarbepsy. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of BemTV, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The topic of the article is a software program, which A7 does not apply to. Thank you. Jackmcbarn (talk) 16:12, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
I think that needs to be revised. A blatantly obvious user that has no intention of contributing neutrally is better not informed, just like we don't always inform vandals and usually don't inform sockpuppets before blocking them. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 15:38, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
Erm, in this case I understand where you're coming from, but it hasn't any negatives from the paid editors I've notified. I am not sure if there was a problem with they way the redirect was formatted, if you didn't see that the name was the same as that of the section to which it pointed, or if there is some other object. Please let me know what I can do to address this. μηδείς (talk) 06:27, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
I see what you mean now, thanks, although I disagree that it's necessary unless someone actually rights an article, "write one level down" which is highly unlikely. The context and long string of words make it clear it's a suggested wikipedia practice. WP:W1LD would be the logical result of your concern. μηδείς (talk) 21:58, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Khalilah Rose I am hoping that if you have time, that you could take a look at its current state and chime in your opinion on whether it should be kept or not. MQL4
Hi! I just add categories to page and one more source[on french]. I've found some patents on google[[1]] that mention MQL4[[2]]. How should I add them in the source? Would it be enough to establish notability? IskanderPr (talk) 12:43, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
Unfortunately, I'm not entirely qualified to determine that, as I am not very knowledgable about programming. There are places where it goes into too much detail, though, such as the list of operators, which I understand are generally standard in the industry anyway. I'll ask WP:WikiProject Computer science to have a look at it. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 15:57, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
Hello Oiyarbepsy! Thanks for your contribution on the George Pajon wiki entry. Someone by the handle LuckyLouie desires to have that page deleted. Could you add your opinion please? Thank you! --HafizHanif (talk) 20:15, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your work as a patroller, and specifically for patrolling the two new redirs I created today. I figured that with a name like Autonomous spaceport drone ship—which sounds rather SciFi—the redir would need to be patrolled rather quickly. Glad you are on it.
I've been building a descriptive section on the technology with every source I can find for a couple of months now. With nearly a half dozen sources now, and the sort of serious notability this thing is already getting, and will get around and after the launch scheduled for 16 Dec where the ship will be used as a target for an autonomous landing test, it won't stay a redir for long. It is definitely article worthy.
By that way, I was kind of surprised not to find any article on autonomous ships more generally, which might mean this ship is the first of a general class of ships. We'll see. But that is why I also created the redir for autonomous ship. Cheers. N2e (talk) 06:15, 23 November 2014 (UTC)

Please could you undo your reversion of my closure of this RfD - it is up to the nominator to open a requested moves discussion if they wish (not for the closer). And even if it was the correct thing to do would have been to open one yourself, rather than reopen a discussion in the wrong forum. RfD is, per explicit instruction, not the place to discuss redirects that are in the way of a page move. Thryduulf (talk) 07:05, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
Give me a moment on that please - while I try to figure out what the hell is going on with these pages. For what it's worth, at Wikipedia:Procedural closure, you'll see "Never close a discussion as a wrong venue without opening a discussion at an appropriate one", which is a natural result of WP:BITE and WP:NOTBURO. In this case, however, it seems this might be resolved. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 07:12, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
Would you care to reconsider your addition of a {{unreferenced}} tag to the above page? It is a list page, not an article and therefore there is no challengeable material (other than the lead). The list items are either correct (blue) or faulty (red), they do not require citations. I notice that you are fairly new to Wiki, if you need help in this please try either the tea room or contact me. I will be watching your talk page so you can reply here rather than on my talk page, or alternatively go to the list's talk page. Regards, Martin of Sheffield (talk) 00:01, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
I'm thinking of the long haul, which means there will be red links on it, and there will need to be some criteria for inclusions, and that's where reference come in. Lists are not limited to what we currently have articles about. Yes, it's less important on a list like this, but that doesn't make references useless. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:40, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
The previous version of this article was poorly and improperly sourced. This latest version is now significantly different than what was brought to AFD.[3] Speedy now inapplicable. Best, Schmidt, Michael Q.20:40, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
@Oiyarbepsy: Well, it does seem apparent that IP 199.48.246.232may be Jpeeps not logged in... but as checkuser can only go back so far before the trail becomes too stale, it may be tough to setermin if either Critic11 is Jpeeps.
That said... I'd be very careful about removing reliable sources used to verify any information within a BLP article though. And calling them "worthless" becomes a judgement call, as remember... WP:V does not require that sources sharing information about Dolby or Porterfield must somehow be all about Delibero, as WP:BLP requires verifiability of information. And more, the required WP:V is not the same as WP:N's instruction about WP:SIGCOV. IE: A source speaking mostly about Porterfield or Dolby is perfectly fine if it also verifies information about Delibero.
So please, I'd suggest you concede to the return of one of these where Delibero speaks about Dolby joining her program.[4][5][6][7] and/or this one where Dolby speaks about Delibero.[8] and we also need sources to verify Matthew Porterfield being part of her program.[9][10][11] And note that WP:NACADEMICS and WP:AUTHOR can establish notability without GNG also being met.
I could live with restoring one source about Dolby joining and about Porterfield, but since that information is not negative, it is not vital to source it. As far as lecturing, that's a classic case of WP:BLUE, since that is part of a college professor's job and we don't need to cite such an obvious statement. As far as Porterfield, I'd say it's better to delete it, as it is nothing more than name-dropping. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 05:02, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
Fair enough... but the fact that her lectures have themselves been covered in reliable sources should be also cited under WP:NACADEMICS. While the essay WP:BLUE has its points, most university academics do not have their lectures covered in media outside their facilities... and that coverage is a notability consideration under WP:NACADEMICS. Thanks. Schmidt, Michael Q.10:54, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
You flagged tacocat for speedy deletion under CSD A7. I'm a new Wikipedia, and I'm sure that the article has lots of room to improve, but it seems that the article makes claims to notability under WP:Band #1 and #4. I added notes about the national and international tours recently. Does this constitute a credible claim of significance? Thanks Groceryheist (talk) 04:17, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
I removed it. However, the band's notability is borderline, on the other hand, they seem likely to become more notable in the future. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 04:58, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
