By the way is it appropriate to use Czech language here? --Millenium187 (talk) 17:58, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-09-06T17:58:00.000Z","author":"Millenium187","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-Millenium187-2011-09-06T17:58:00.000Z-Millenium187-2011-09-06T15:43:00.000Z","replies":["c-Cimmerian_praetor-2011-09-06T18:31:00.000Z-Millenium187-2011-09-06T17:58:00.000Z"]}}-->

First of all, did you add there the template for British English? You don't change English used on a page, unless there are already two or more differing standards and the aim is to unify them. Secondly on my screen the page renders not very nicely, especially in part "local government/ climate+geography". Also, I propose to change "people from Brno" to "people connected with Brno" (Mendel surely is not from Brno). Without looking into details the changes look fine, just make sure to add in sources.
Yes, I added the template, so should I remove it? Well my English is surely far from being perfect, I just hope that someone will eventually fix it. But I am pretty sure that if don't extend the article noone will at least for a very long time. --Millenium187 (talk) 20:31, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-09-06T20:31:00.000Z","author":"Millenium187","type":"comment","level":5,"id":"c-Millenium187-2011-09-06T20:31:00.000Z-Millenium187-2011-09-06T17:58:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
I hate how often what I do on Czech wiki gets changed by people who "simply know and understand (everything) better". To be honest, it seems that the Czech wikipedia attracts disproportionate number of people suffering from being "čurák". Here things are more subtle and, in my opinion, the debates are on higher level, which helps especially when you have the minority view (as was my case in war about Mendel not being Austrian).Cimmerian praetor (talk) 18:31, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-09-06T18:31:00.000Z","author":"Cimmerian praetor","type":"comment","level":5,"id":"c-Cimmerian_praetor-2011-09-06T18:31:00.000Z-Millenium187-2011-09-06T17:58:00.000Z-1","replies":["c-Millenium187-2011-09-06T20:31:00.000Z-Cimmerian_praetor-2011-09-06T18:31:00.000Z"]}}-->

Well, I am sorry, that's an interesting information I really didn't know that. But in that case Mendel came from Moravia-Silesia because between years 1782-1850 Margaviate of Moravia and Austrian Silesia were merged into one country Moravia-Silesia. Since there is written that he was born on territory of the current Czech Republic I demand explicit specification of the country where he was born and that is surely not the Czech Republic. And there is also no mention that he was a Moravian, what's the problem here? --Millenium187 (talk) 13:22, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-09-05T13:22:00.000Z","author":"Millenium187","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Millenium187-2011-09-05T13:22:00.000Z-Cimmerian_praetor-2011-09-05T07:16:00.000Z","replies":["c-Cimmerian_praetor-2011-09-05T14:53:00.000Z-Millenium187-2011-09-05T13:22:00.000Z"]}}-->
I have never heard of anybody being "Moravian-Silesian". I have heard about Silesins, German-Silesians, Czech-Silesians, Polish-Silesians, but this is a novelty to me.
If you check history and discussion to the article, you will find out that there was quite a long war regarding the label "Austrian scientist", which is clearly a nonsense, however it is in majority of English-language sources (I would prefer either "Silesian" or "German-Czech"). I got simply tired of it, but if you want to reopen the issue, please feel free to do so.
I think that you misinterpret it. Moravia/Moravia-Silesia was a land, country was Austrian Empire, later Austria-Hungary. Ok, thank you. The reason why I have certain objections concerning quality of the article about Moravia is that there are certain strange things about it, probably false claims and so on. I am just strongly convinced that it should be much more accurate, that's all, however, I am the one who should fix it, I my opinion it requires an "expert" on Moravian history (a historian), so I won't interfere any longer. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 14:29, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2015-11-24T14:29:00.000Z","author":"MediaWiki message delivery","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-MediaWiki_message_delivery-2015-11-24T14:29:00.000Z-ArbCom_elections_are_now_open!","replies":[]}}-->
