Hi. I have nominated Alice in Wonderland (2010 film) as a good article. As the primary contributor, you may be interested in watchlisting the talk page. Thanks! Viriditas (talk) 01:51, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-09-21T01:51:00.000Z","author":"Viriditas","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Viriditas-2010-09-21T01:51:00.000Z-Alice_in_Wonderland_(2010_film)","replies":["c-MikeAllen-2010-09-21T02:00:00.000Z-Viriditas-2010-09-21T01:51:00.000Z"]}}-->
- That was my plan from the get-go, but I kind of drifted away from the page. During the nomination if the reviewer has a concern about the bullets being used in the casting section, let's not forget to show them the talk page where it was agreed to do that way. I haven't edited the page in a while, but it still has potential to be a GA. Look forward to doing what I can to help; though it may be a while before someone starts the review process. - I'm watching the special features right now to see if you've covered all the bases. I think we're missing a bit about Colleen Atwood. Anyway, good work on the article! - On the note of this film, would you mind looking at the current debate on the Talk Page regarding "Jabberwock vs. Jabberwocky", and its addition to writing and development? While I have my issues with this topic still, I recanted somewhat and reinstated a comment, though I edited it to address a complaint of synthetic statement. - Thank you. I felt more hesitant on this topic because it was dealing with story source material. However, your point is correct - once we bring the statement of poem title vs. creature name in, it creates confusion. I may just need to work on being more hard-edged with some things. Slowly but surely getting there. :) Emtigereyes (talk) 16:17, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-10-05T16:17:00.000Z","author":"Emtigereyes","type":"comment","level":6,"id":"c-Emtigereyes-2010-10-05T16:17:00.000Z-Emtigereyes-2010-10-04T18:26:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

Mike, I saw that you messaged Steve about fixing Final Destination 5 and Final Destination 5 (film). (I was checking to see if he ever came back from wherever he went.) - I'm confused about using the unbulleted list template. Is it something that works now and should be proliferated in all film infoboxes? Perhaps it's something to add to Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Bot requests, based on the discussion Lugnuts started. - Well... the last time I had checked the infobox film template it was something that was included. Then someone had a concern it wasn't working in IE6, and I thought that was fixed? When I add the budget or something, I go ahead and add the UBL... but yes, if it's going to be widely used then preferably a bot can do it---lol. Do you intend to take this user to ANI? I support the move. He makes a lot of positive edits, but never uses edit summaries, never posts to talk pages, has never responded to a single message on his talk page, in other words, shows no sign of communicating with other editors. Do you think it would be prudent to have protection on either of these pages (Im thinking more the List of characters one) for the week of its release? It's already somewhat of a chore to deal with even with the hidden-tags that say "Do not put this information here" that I can only imagine how bad it will get for the first few days. Plus, due to the nature of the character list, its quite easy to be looking at someone from the early films and get a huge spoiler from the final film that I can see someone throwing in there. People seem to have a lot of time to burn on here when it comes to vandalism.
Not sure if you can actually get pre-emptive protection but thought you may know more about it. Thanks for readingDarkwarriorblake (talk) 19:17, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-10-19T19:17:00.000Z","author":"Darkwarriorblake","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Darkwarriorblake-2010-10-19T19:17:00.000Z-List_of_Saw_Characters_and_Saw_3D","replies":["c-MikeAllen-2010-10-19T21:11:00.000Z-Darkwarriorblake-2010-10-19T19:17:00.000Z"]}}-->
- Saw 3D was protected until its release, but then the release date was October 22. So I imagine it's unprotected now. :P They usually don't protect pages when a new film comes out, unless it's really hard to control the vandalism, and even then it's not protected for that long. I'm not watching the Saw articles on October 28 (some countries see it then). The plot summary will probably be 2000 words long or something and that's a chore to get it slimmed down and to stay that way. I don't see a problem with getting the List of Saw characters article protected for the time being, it's always being battered. - I'm hoping to see it as early as possible so I can try and fix the inevitable horrors that follow but yeah if the characters page can be protected that'd be handy because that will be a pain for a week or so, especially Lawrence GOrdons, I can already see the fest that will become, its been a pain already and the film isn't out.Darkwarriorblake (talk) 23:27, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-10-19T23:27:00.000Z","author":"Darkwarriorblake","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-Darkwarriorblake-2010-10-19T23:27:00.000Z-MikeAllen-2010-10-19T21:11:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
Hello Mr Film Coordinator, how have you been? Working together on Inglourious Basterds seems like so long ago now and yet I'm still keeping a close eye on it (what is with that war over the category?) and occasionally tweaking bits here and there. Thank God you archived the references, I just went to sort out three links that the 'bot marked as dead. Maybe one day we can take it to FAC (though it's a very scary place there, which is why I like to stick with FLC) Now, what I actually came here for was the My Week with Marilyn article. I came across it Tuesday and it was a small stub with just a cast list and little information, so yesterday I expanded it (and took it to DYK). I just wondered if you could take a look at it and see what you think. I think everything is in the right place. The development section needs some work though, but I wasn't really sure what should go there. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 21:33, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-10-21T21:33:00.000Z","author":"JuneGloom07","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-JuneGloom07-2010-10-21T21:33:00.000Z-My_Week_with_Marilyn","replies":["c-MikeAllen-2010-10-22T00:05:00.000Z-JuneGloom07-2010-10-21T21:33:00.000Z"]}}-->
- Well from my limited experience in FAC, if the film is popular it will attract more reviewers. I put Saw VI through it and it was closed due to no consensus. I think it's pretty good, so in my mind and heart it is a
featured great article. I don't need a gold star on the top to prove that. LOL! But we'll need to look through some offline sources for Inglourious Basterds; like magazines, newspapers, etc. I have access to Newsbank. - CloudKade is not even taking part in the discussion anymore. I'm not familiar with the Wikiquette alert system, so I don't know what kind of outcome will develop; but if it doesn't work, I would really consider taking him/her to AN/I. I added my evidence that supports their incivility towards editors, maybe that wasn't the right place. The instructions say to ignore them at first, I have ignored him/her for months, but when they are affecting more editors, something needs to be done---so thank you for taking the first step. - How are you coming out on the List of Saw characters page? Does it need to be protected or is it under controlled? So many new characters in Flesh & Blood, it seems. Not counting the ones in Saw 3D (17 so far); the page will become quite oversize, though some characters may be grouped together, like some Saw VI characters. - I'm not sure if Zeke, Barry, Donovan, and Griff are notable enough to be listed. They do have a little back-story; basically, it's just their name and their "flaw" from Jigsaw's tapes. They aren't "generic" enemies, though; Zeke, Barry, and Donovan appear more than once. Zeke appears in a couple of cutscenes (where you have to help save him) and a few quick-time sequences (where he tries to kill you and you have to run away). I think Griff appears once - you have the choice to save him or let him die...and that's it...I don't think you see him again after that (at least from what I remember). Donovan is a recurring mini-boss (you fight him in the game a total of three times). Finally, Barry is sort of like an obstacle you have to avoid (he appears twice, I believe), until you have to dispose of him. These guys don't play a huge part in the story. What do you think? - Haven't played the game, so haven't been keeping up with those characters. From the sound of it, no they don't need to be included. If they don't actually have a story in the game, they shouldn't be listed. It's like someone kept adding officers from the Saw films that just stand in the background. - That was predicted by fans years ago (see the YouTube video of "the man limping adding the key to Michael's eye") and on the HOJ about the package Jill dropped off, and everything else. The writers just copied from fan forums. I was all for Gordon being back, but I honestly thought they would think of something else. The thing is.. it is never explained why Gordon would want to help him in the first place. And the whole "all of my work has been leading to this". Leading to what? John's work was not explained and closed. That's great, leave Hoffman in the there to "die".. like someone hasn't gotten out of that before. The HOJ forums are being bombed with the same reaction as this. I feel very bad for Kevin; he was forced back on a week before filming and did some re-writes. Though nothing could saved it. Saw 3D is David Hackl's vision, not Kevin. But now Kevin has it on his resume... - I thought Gabby's role was insignificant with all the work she did on Scream Queens to get it. Hi ya Mike. Great job on the article. What's needed to clean up that soundtrack listing is song-writer credits. I'd find them and add them myself, but I'm a bit busy at the moment. - I saw it thursday. Yeah I agree with your thoughts, the gordon plot was predictable. But I'm glad the focus wasn't gordon, I really liked the Hoffman/Jill plot. I liked how it fleshed out like a classic suspense thing, ya know? The Bobby Dagen trials weren't too original but I liked the extra bit of "faking a trap then being forced to actually do it" then the cops coming in on an active trap. I'm just glad how everybody died at the end, almost like a shakepearean tragedy. It wasn't art by no means, but a good way to end the series. I liked the bathroom and how the saw was taken from Hoffman, it would have been so much better if the last line was "Most people are so ungrateful to be alive, but not you, not anymore. Game over." Any thoughts you had? - I wished the story was polished and wasn't so rushed. They could have explained why Dr. Gordon would even help John. Not that much John in the film. A lot of things didn't make sense. They showed VERY little of the survivors. Only Simone had lines. Mallick was brought back.. but why? He just sat there. They could at least showed if he "learned" anything. - Yeah I agree the survivor part really let me down. I was looking at the group for little nods of people from early films, but no. Instead they add new "survivors" we've never seen. Mallick was such an awful character anyways I'm glad he had no lines. I bet the two other pigmasks with Gordon were other survivors he rallied, idk. Hey that poster I added, are you sure that was a teaser poster? I think it's the final theatrical because it was the one my theater had up when I saw it. - Oh hmm I wonder why my theater can't get it right. Yeah I hope so but I doubt that, 3D movies never look as good when being seen in 2D. The deaths will look cheesy. But who knows. Anyways, I know I haven't been wiki-ing as much lately but my schedule is starting to clear up and I'm getting the urge to edit some things lol I'm going to see how well I can boost the Saw II: Flesh & Blood article first, but is there anything I can help on with other things? It seems like you have the movie articles handled superbly, great job. Why is Saw 3D only a C-class article? It's already easily a GA-class in my opinion. It's quite progressing toward an FA with the volume of detail and great formatting. Ideas? - It won't make it through a GAN right now, with all the edits going on (unstable). Plus the Box office section is not done since the movie is still playing in theaters. So maybe after it ends its theater run or after the home media gets released (January probably). I think the article is B class though. :P Kevin's sister was kind enough to release her Saw pictures (from Comic Con and the premiere in Hollywood) under Creative Commons, so I've gotten some free pictures. Saw VI failed its featured article nomination a few months ago. On List of Saw media, is all that listed at the bottom appropriate and if so, doesn't it need to be in templates like the rest (with sources)? Mike Allen 01:17, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-11-08T01:17:00.000Z","author":"MikeAllen","type":"comment","level":8,"id":"c-MikeAllen-2010-11-08T01:17:00.000Z-GroundZ3R0_002-2010-11-08T00:57:00.000Z","replies":[],"displayName":"Mike"}}-->
- Oh yeah edit wars with that plot section wont end for a month or two. I was scanning around and thought that the box office section for the Nightmare on Elm Street (2010 film) article was pretty quality. We could compare to other Saw opening weekends and gross, bring up number of theaters and per theater gross, all that good stuff. What do you think? Do you have any communication with Kevin? thats cool you got to get those free pics. Yeah, I kind of expected a tough sell on FA for VI, but this 3D article is even better than that one so never give up! Funny thing, I saw those extra tidbits at the bottom of List of Saw media and thought I should remove them, but then I figured you monitored all Saw pages well enough that I didn't want to delete something if you wanted it to stay. I'm going to delete that all, most are useless gatherings and none could be sourced well. Formatting is pointlessly listed and its not even true media, therefore I'm just going to delete. Agreed? - Nightmare is very well researched and written. I've noticed it reads that it took in $1.6 million on it Thursday midnight showings and set a new record for biggest midnight showings for a horror film. Saw 3D made $1.7 million on its midnight Thursday showings. ALTHOUGH, Saw 3D had 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, etc showings on that Thursday, which was tallied in. So.. I guess Saw 3D didn't break that record since it wasn't just midnight showings. I'll look around. Anyway to your original comment, lol, I've only chatted with Kevin on the house of jigsaw forums (and I really didn't talk directly to him, he just answered a question I had). I found some Saw images on Flickr that was "copyrighted" and emailed the user to see if they would release it under CC for Wikipedia. They accepted and signed their name with Cathy Greutert. She said she was Kevin's sister. I asked her to take some for the Hollywood premiere (I think she was anyway). I was hoping to get a good one of Costas. lol
- I recently revamped the Tobin Bell page (see before snapshot). I was working on it since early October on my userpage and had a lot more to add, but with the release of Saw 3D and the page was getting more viewers I thought I might as well make what I had done live. About the media page, yes I would remove it. I have a lot of Saw pages on my watchlist, but right now my main focus is Saw 3D, the character page and franchise page, finally got the last two protected. Sick of the same crap people add. "Saw 3D is not the last film, Mark Burg and Betsy Russell confirms Saw 8 has begun production". Give a rest. Lol. I added reviews (chart) for Saw II: Flesh & Blood. If you've played the game, maybe copyedit the plot? I haven't played it yet. I'm not sure who changed Jeff's surname, but they claim that " 'Reinhart' was a random name submitted to IMDb by a fan." However, just because Jeff is married to Lynn Denlon doesn't mean they both have the same last name. The official Saw website says Reinhart. - That's what they say and Kevin on the HOJ made a comment like "Oh so that's where that name came from". Just because a fan submitted an idea and Lionsgate actually ran with it doesn't make it invalid. At first I was like yeah it makes sense for it to be Denlon and Lionsgate probably wrote "Reinhart" so viewers wouldn't know they were husband and wife. I say now to go with Reinhart since that is what Lionsgate officially accepts. Hi. I have removed your addition to List of plot twists. While it was by no means a bad addition, the consensus for dealing with this page is that every entry must have a reliable source that specifically talks about the notability (not just existance) of that plot twist. If we don't stick to this, the article will return to the unmanageable state it was in before a couple of editors did a major tidy up on it, where it was just filled with unsourced entries and jokes. I hope that makes sense - just wanted to explain my reasons!--KorruskiTalk 09:07, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-11-09T09:07:00.000Z","author":"Korruski","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Korruski-2010-11-09T09:07:00.000Z-List_of_plot_twists","replies":["c-MikeAllen-2010-11-09T09:14:00.000Z-Korruski-2010-11-09T09:07:00.000Z"]}}-->
- I see. Well I added a source (that was in the "Sources") section before I read this message. I'm sure there are sites that discuss the plot twist in detail. I'll look for it later. Thanks for leaving me a message. Is appearing for one moment in a flashback scene considered to be an appearance? Or does Trevor actually have a role in Saw 3D? I don't know; I haven't watched the film, but I have seen the ending and I know he shows up there. Personally I'd say that the actor should have filmed some new scenes to count as an appearance, not just show up in a flashback. hbdragon88 (talk) 02:52, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-11-12T02:52:00.000Z","author":"Hbdragon88","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Hbdragon88-2010-11-12T02:52:00.000Z-Saw","replies":["c-Hbdragon88-2010-11-12T20:28:00.000Z-Hbdragon88-2010-11-12T02:52:00.000Z"]}}-->
- He did film a new scene. That scene you saw was a "flashback", but he was actually on set. He's credited at the end credits, but don't think Noam Jenkins (Michael Marks) is for some reason.
- Oh...I see now. The scene with Dr. Gordon sewing Trevor's eyes up was brand new, right? And the "My eyes!' was from Saw IV? hbdragon88 (talk) 20:28, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-11-12T20:28:00.000Z","author":"Hbdragon88","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Hbdragon88-2010-11-12T20:28:00.000Z-Hbdragon88-2010-11-12T02:52:00.000Z","replies":["c-MikeAllen-2010-11-17T04:36:00.000Z-Hbdragon88-2010-11-12T20:28:00.000Z"]}}-->
- Yes when Gordon sews his eyes shut that is new footage. Him yelling "MY eyes"---I'm not sure if that's archive footage or not. Probably not since the actor was already on set. I am replying to your statement that this article was not designed for 'Listing all Saw-related media'. Well, I must correct you that it WAS, hence the name 'List of Saw media', it also appears to me that you are a SAW fan and not a theme park enthusiast and seem to know very little about them. I am not trying to be rude, I'm just saying what I believe's what.

- It's not a place for a list of Saw related media without a source. - (edit conflict)What I've been trying to explain to you is that when you add something to Wikipedia that is likely to be challenged by someone else (and by now you should know this, you have been here as long as I have; this was something I learned very quickly) you add a source supporting what you add. Now you're engaging in an edit war to support your point of view, when you could be looking for sources for those attractions. The page is turning into a indiscriminate list of information, and the bullet lists at the bottom is very out of place.
