Hey Kieronoldham. I don't know of it helps, but Ramana Maharshi also had TLE, I think. His "enlightenment experience" reads like a seizure; see Bhagavan's death experience and the appendix to this biography. As for myself, I probably have ADD; I've only come to realize this slowly, way into my forties. Wish you all the best; being a father at least is a good gift in this respect! Taking care of others makes life better. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 02:10, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

You're welcome, Joshua Jonathan. I'll look into this. Thanks for the links. I've been dismissive of this for several years but it has become MUCH more prevalent since February to the degree I can't do so anymore. The noise and visual stimulation etc. I could largely dismiss has become more aggravating. P.S. Thanks for tidying my talk page; I never bother too much with it. Oliver Sacks, of course, may be helpful too. He's got this book on hallucinations; apart from giving biographical accounts of his own life, which show how he managed to live with his own peculiaraties, it also gives a vivid display of the extraordinary creations our mind is capable of - including this peculiar thing called "reality." Social constructionism may be another topic of interest: it shows how we construct our reality, in interaction with the social world and its demands we are part of. Oh, and Alice: Alice in Wonderland! Lewis Carroll may have been suffering from epilepsy too; the part where Alice shrinks and grows may actually be a description of his own experience. It's even called Alice in Wonderland syndrome. I had this when I was a child; my daughter has similar experiences. Joshua Jonathan, the hallucinations I have tend to be brief and focused in my outer peripherals or out of my field of view. I also have gustatory stimulation, and this is particularly prevalent in environments where noise is prevalent in the atmosphere. These (the hallucinations) tend to be brief, and resolved by just looking in the direction of the illusion or source of the sound to verify the individual or object is not there (very few of the hallucinations are audio). I found your observation of social constructionism quite interesting given some of these episodes and the subjects of hallucinations I recall and particularly how stressed I am and how this affects their recurrences.
I can actually cope quite well with these episodes; my concerns are the seizures (which vary in severity) and the spasms, which may long term affect my ability to work. One piece of good news is that my consultant said this isn't photogenic, so I can still work with computers - which I do. The hardest part of this was having to say to my boss my increasing ability to resist the effects of Tegretol and Propranolol may affect my ability to work. Prior to these episodes, I have very seldom even been to a hospital. I'm trying to make light of this condition, so I'll just say that given what I have done and do on Wikipedia, some people wouldn't be surprised to note I now have a neurological disorder. (P.S. Just started reading the maharshi blog you sent me.)--Kieronoldham (talk) 22:59, 27 March 2017 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2017-03-27T22:59:00.000Z","author":"Kieronoldham","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Kieronoldham-2017-03-27T22:59:00.000Z-State_of_denial","replies":[]}}-->

So I added this American Horror Story section because Aileen Wuornos has it on her so I am confused why She has it and not Dahmer?
That has an 'other media' section; the Dahmer one doesn't. The American Horror Story; Hotel series would classify as such under that ambiguous header. The Dahmer article has the "PLEASE DO NOT ADD SONG REFERENCES, INCIDENTAL THEATER PORTRAYALS, REFERENCES TO INCIDENTAL DEPICTIONS UPON ALBUM COVERS OR OTHER DEPICTIONS UPON TV SHOWS LIKE COMICS, ALBUM COVERS OR OTHER IRRELEVANT TRIVIA HERE. IT DOES NOT BELONG HERE, AND WILL REMOVED WITH NO FURTHER DISCUSSION. TRIVIA IS INAPPROPRIATE PER THE PROJECT GOVERNING THIS ARTICLE." warning at the header and footer of the article. As a guess, given the size of the Dahmer article versus the Wuornos one, you may be wise to take this to the talk page first.--Kieronoldham (talk) 23:10, 13 April 2017 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2017-04-13T23:10:00.000Z","author":"Kieronoldham","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Kieronoldham-2017-04-13T23:10:00.000Z-American_Horror_Story;_Hotel","replies":[]}}-->

I believe that as it stands, no. As user OrangeMike stated yesterday: "if we start putting in references like this, the entire article becomes swamped with shout-outs and "spot the pop-culture reference" - trivia of no value to the article". Your best bet would be to try and achieve consensus for an 'Other media' section on the article. I'm not saying it'll never be allowed, 7e2, but factors like article size and number of fictional portrayals have to be taken into consideration. That being said, there is no shortage of more eminent article watchers than myself. Hi, Alcherin. I have the Columbine High School massacre page on my watchlist, but have somewhat neglected it as of late. The reference I added can be fully verified here on p. 7. It states Klebold said, "Why?" then walked away from her, and did not taunt here after that question. The (somewhat layman structured) version by user Chimpanzeelover (and I thought my chosen username was dire) isn't verified by the given source. In having said that, I have heard there was additional verbal exchange between the two, although they seem to morph with the debunked "Do you believe in God?" question to Bernall. If you'd like any form of assistance clarifying this, feel free to ask. I believe this book is the most reliable source. Within minutes, six police vehicles had arrived in the village, where they were met by Herkes and the schoolgirl's mother. When police began questioning Herkes outside his address, he relayed a description of the van in which the schoolgirl had been abducted, before providing officers with the vehicle's registration number. As Herkes talked with these officers, he observed the same van driving in their direction and exclaimed, "That's him! That's the same van!" Immediately upon hearing this, one officer jumped in front of the van, forcing the driver to swerve and brake to a halt. This officer and his colleagues at the scene removed the van driver from his seat and handcuffed him as they straddled him face-down on the pavement.

Let's take Six police vehicles were in the village within minutes, where they were met by Herkes and the schoolgirl's mother. As Herkes was describing the van... where the strikeout is the part I'm saying should be dropped. Now think about it. A man has just seen a girl forced into a van; he alerted the child's mother, who called the police. The detail about the six vehicles does tell us something, because sometimes police misclassify such reports and just send a couple of bored officers. So good, we keep that bit. Six vehicles race to the scene.
What happens next? Well, it's not "Six police vehicles were in the village within minutes, but they didn't talk to the man who saw the abduction nor to the mother of the missing child. They just drove around aimlessly with no idea what they were looking for." Do you see my point? Of course they spoke to the witness and the mother. Of course he described the van. Of course in describing the van he gave, or was about to give, the registration number (since we were just told he was able to get it). None of this needs to be explained to the reader, because when we say next, "As Herkes was describing the van..." the reader will instantly interpolate all the other stuff for himself/herself. Do you see what I'm getting at? Thanks for your work on the article, EEng. Saved me a large part of the job I promised to do. Not many can dissociate themselves emotionally from subject matters like this. Kudos. My pleasure. I take pleasure in copyediting for some reason, and I like to think it makes the article much easier to read. I'll come back to it now and then. I just haven't got the patience right now,EEng. I may re-add it later. My mindset isn't tranquil at the moment. Seizures have increased lately last had one on 25 April. Myoclonic jerks are more frequent. Come on, do you think you can get rid of me that easily? ;)--Kieronoldham (talk) 20:19, 13 May 2017 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2017-05-13T20:19:00.000Z","author":"Kieronoldham","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Kieronoldham-2017-05-13T20:19:00.000Z-EEng-2017-05-13T20:02:00.000Z","replies":["c-Tryptofish-2017-05-13T21:21:00.000Z-Kieronoldham-2017-05-13T20:19:00.000Z"]}}-->
I watchlist EEng's talk, and I hope that you don't mind my coming here, but I, too, want to give you my best wishes. I'm a PhD and not a physician, so any medical advice that I give should be regarded with caution, but I do know that the medications used for temporal lobe epilepsy vary in the severity of their side-effects. If you are finding the effects too unpleasant, perhaps your physician could prescribe an alternative medication. Good luck! --Tryptofish (talk) 21:21, 13 May 2017 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2017-05-13T21:21:00.000Z","author":"Tryptofish","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-Tryptofish-2017-05-13T21:21:00.000Z-Kieronoldham-2017-05-13T20:19:00.000Z","replies":["c-EEng-2017-05-13T21:25:00.000Z-Tryptofish-2017-05-13T21:21:00.000Z","c-Kieronoldham-2017-05-13T21:41:00.000Z-Tryptofish-2017-05-13T21:21:00.000Z"]}}-->
Kieran, please don't stop editing just because of jerks. I find that with patience even difficult editors can be worked with. Tryptofish. Thanks. Sodium Valproate caertainly didn't work; I am prescribed Carbamazepine, which seems to work. Even though I am on max. levels and have been for some time, I suspect my body has developed an increased resiliance to it. I have a phone app. with the Salford Royal NHS Neurology Advice & Navigation Service on 18 May. I'll see where it goes from there. EEng - I try and combat this condition with humour. Doesn't always work (believe me), but I try. Hopefully the next seizure can be filmed by a family member or a work colleague so I can upload it to YT with techno music as the backdrop.--Kieronoldham (talk) 21:41, 13 May 2017 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2017-05-13T21:41:00.000Z","author":"Kieronoldham","type":"comment","level":4,"id":"c-Kieronoldham-2017-05-13T21:41:00.000Z-Tryptofish-2017-05-13T21:21:00.000Z","replies":["c-Tryptofish-2017-05-13T22:23:00.000Z-Kieronoldham-2017-05-13T21:41:00.000Z"]}}-->
With carbamazepine, the side-effects tend to decrease gradually over time, so maybe you will eventually become more comfortable with the maximum dose. Also, it has an astounding number of interactions with other medications, over-the-counter products, and even foods, so it's possible that something else is making the side-effects worse. Anyway, I agree with EEng: I find that with patience, even EEng can be worked with. --Tryptofish (talk) 22:23, 13 May 2017 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2017-05-13T22:23:00.000Z","author":"Tryptofish","type":"comment","level":5,"id":"c-Tryptofish-2017-05-13T22:23:00.000Z-Kieronoldham-2017-05-13T21:41:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
Tryptofish Thanks sincerely for the advice and information. I have been on this dosage level for several years. My doc is concerned and, aside from attempting differing levels of dosage and differing medication levels attempted previously, has advised me of many issues including a regularity of daily activities, sleep levels, and because I actually have an impressive medical history for a guy in his 30s i.e. no other ailments or reliance on other medications, has no cause for concern regarding reactions with other prescribed or purchased medications. (I seldom even take aspirin or cetirizine.) I have logged the majority of the incidents which have occurred since 23 February, and am maintaining optimism in this phone call. Thanks for your beneficial advice. I will look into my diet further. Hey, with patience, even I can be worked with. EEng and others will tell you that;).--Kieronoldham (talk) 23:13, 13 May 2017 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2017-05-13T23:13:00.000Z","author":"Kieronoldham","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Kieronoldham-2017-05-13T23:13:00.000Z-Why...","replies":[]}}-->
