I notice the article contains this statement, "The most recent was The Rolling Stones in December 1997." Is that still up to date? There hasn't been a major concert there for at least 10 years? If that is false it should be updated. If it is true then it would be interesting if we could explain why this venue is no longer hosting major concerts. I contested the speedy deletion and left a message to the nominator about slowing down the pace of nominating a little bit to give an author more than 2 minutes to work on an article. You should do things a little differently too. The best option is to develop an article in a user sandbox subpage before you copy it to mainspace. Here's the directions. I develop all of my articles in my sandboxes. A less popular option is to initially mark the article as {{inuse}} if you are actively editing the article, or as {{underconstruction}} if you plan to develop it over a few days. Hey; Did they say during the episode that Kelley was halfway up the mountain with the scales? Because it was fairly clear from the shot that you could see the base camp with the other team still at the gold table in the background as the first team reached Kelley. Is there any way to fix it, to include such stat? I had originally decided to try to include it when I had to count, by hand, where someone was located on the list, and saw that as the very definition of needing a new column. Here's a blast from the past: back on 14 November 2007, you edited the A Christmas Story articled and added a reference for a couple statements. The original url is totally dead but in the meantime, somebody archived the site. Unfortunately, the archive link is also useless and the desired information is not to be found there. It seems like the reference will need to be deleted as unverifiable. Yet I am curious about the ref name that you gave of "Orlando Sentinel microfilm". Did you actually use microfilm to find the listings originally? If so, perhaps the reference could be repaired to be in a better state. Greetings—just a friendly disagreement with this edit. Despite what Unser Jr. says in the interview, that is clear as day not a thumbs up that he gives to Fittipaldi—more like a sarcastic gesticulation. This source supports it: "... walked to the edge of the track and gave Fittipaldi a mocking gesture of congratulations" However, there is also this source which suggests that Unser Jr.'s gestures were misinterpreted. Perhaps the article could be reworded to mention both? Article of the month – Harley J. Earl Trophy, a good article The Harley J. Earl Trophy is the trophy presented to the winner of the premier – and season-opening – event of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), the Daytona 500. It is named after influential automobile designer Harley Earl, who served as the second commissioner of NASCAR. Earl has been known as the so-called "father of the Corvette" and designer of the Firebird I prototype that adorns the trophy. A champion in both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and Pro Series West, he was a developmental driver for Chip Ganassi Racing. Article of the month – 2010 Emory Healthcare 500, a good article The 2010 Emory Healthcare 500 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race that was held on September 5, 2010 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. Contested over 325 laps, it was the twenty-fifth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season. The race was won by Tony Stewart, for the Stewart Haas Racing team. Article of the month – 2011 Budweiser Shootout, a good article The 2011 Budweiser Shootout was a stock car race and the first exhibition event of the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. It was held on February 12, 2011 at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The 75-lap race was won by Kurt Busch for the Penske Racing team. As for Andy Granatelli's #40 Turbine on display in the Speedway Museum being a replica built from the original blueprints (just like Rufus' #98 `63 winner in the Museum), I can only go by what Andy Granatelli told me, while he was seated next to Dennis Miller, at the `02 or `03 public drivers' meeting (I forget which year). But, if you think you know more than the guy who built both cars, I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with you: It's just Wikipedia. No, it was not the Schaefer 500: They were the race sponsor for the first race at Pocono in 1971 (won by Mark Donohue for Roger Penske's first Champ Car win), the 1972 race was the Van Scoy Diamond Mine 500, and the 1973 race was the Domino's Pizza 500; and if my rusty memory is correct, they kept up the sponsorship for several more years, into the early 1980's. I was atthose races, too; and in fact Domino's brought a 40' mobile pizza kitchen trailer.

Incidentally, my first Indy 500 was in 1967 when Rufus piloted the #40 STP turbine; and our family seats were in Paddock Box 10, row J, seats 1, 2, 3, & 4; and in `73, Granatelli's 3 pits of Swede Savage (killed), Graham McRae, whose pit crewman Armondo Teran was killed as I watched, and eventual winner Gordon Johncock.

Even though I was just 12, the 1973 Indy 500 still resonates around The Speedway; and next year will be the 50th anniversary. This is about the best look-back I've found so far. Incidentally, the `73 race was (in)famous for another reason: AJ got caught cheating in post-race because (read carefully!) his fuel tank held 44 gallons!
