Wikipedia is not a web host for holding personal web pages unrelated to work on building the encyclopaedia. You are, of course, very welcome to start making contributions to the encyclopaedia, in line with Wikipedia policies and guidelines, if you are interested in doing so, but if you wish to have a web space for your personal use, then there are many web sites which provide that sort of service, but Wikipedia is not one of them. Also please bear in mind that editing for any kind of promotional purpose is not permitted; that includes editing to promote or publicise a YouTube channel. Hi CactusBlizzard, thanks for reaching out on my talk page! The differences between an article like DanTDM and creating a page for a personal YouTube channel are rooted in Wikipedia's core principles, including:

  • Articles need to be based on reliable information from secondary sources, such as newspapers, magazines, and major news websites: Wikipedia:Verifiability - almost every piece of information in the DanTDM article has one or more citations to a website that a reader can use to "verify" the information.
  • Articles need to be about topics that have received significant coverage in those kinds of secondary sources: Wikipedia:Notability
  • Articles shouldn't be created by the person who owns or manages a thing: Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide

You are welcome to stick around and help improve existing articles with those guidelines in mind! For your own channel, if you want somebody to write a Wikipedia article about it someday, the best thing to do is to grow it enough to get significant press coverage - not an easy process, but maybe a good goal. Please let me know if you have more questions about editing Wikipedia, happy to try to help!
