Trade unions in the United Kingdom

Hi Boleslaw. I see you moved Trade unions in the United Kingdom to Trades unions in the United Kingdom the other day. There was a bit of discussion about this sometime ago at Talk:Trade union#Pluralisation, and you will find that all the articles at Wikipedia:WikiProject Organized Labour/list of Trade unions in country articles and the categories at Category:Trade unions by country use the singular Trade unions. I'd like to move the page back to that spelling, but didn't want to just barge in and change it without saying hello. Cheers.--Bookandcoffee 05:59, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: List of UK Christmas Number 1s

Replied at the article talk page, but basically, don't put it in per WP:TRIVIA. While it's a plotline in a film, it's nowhere near the main one, and has very little to do with the list of Christmas number ones.  f o x  19:03, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of List of winners of mrs joyce prize for mafia work

Hello Boleslaw,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged List of winners of mrs joyce prize for mafia work for deletion, because it seems to be vandalism or a hoax.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Lockley (talk) 22:23, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of winners of mrs joyful prize for rafia work requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. —Torchiest talkedits 22:29, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

September 2021

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Wikipedia:Verifiability. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Stop changing gender-neutral and nonbinary-inclusive language to less inclusive forms in Wikipedia articles and policies, such as changing singular they to "he or she", or insisting on grammatically incorrect forms such as "they is" when referring to an individual. You appear to have sufficient grasp of the English language to realize that such forms are incorrect, and as such I can only conclude that you are making these edits to make a point, but if you really do not understand how to use this form of gender-neutral language, please see our singular they article. If you continue making edits like this you will be blocked from editing. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 22:11, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for getting in touch with me. I do not think my edit was disruptive nor unconstructive and I do not think that a reasonable person would either. Best wishes. Boleslaw (talk) 22:16, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Standard ArbCom sanctions notice

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in gender-related disputes or controversies or in people associated with them. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Newimpartial (talk) 18:26, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

July 2022

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Anti-gender movement. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Sideswipe9th (talk) 19:30, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
