Thanks for your edits to Joseph Jacobs and Category:Joseph Jacobs, moving Jacobs’ categories over to the category article. That led to the Jacobs article not being categorised, and the Jacobs category appearing as a subcategory of all the pages it was categorised under. For example Category:British Jewish writers had subcats English Jewish writers, Joseph Jacobs, and Scottish Jewish writers. The Joseph Jacobs category was clearly out-of-place in that example, but the equivalent problem occurred in all the others too. That’s why I’ve reverted the edits. I hope that makes sense.
