American football player (born 2001)
Tyler Van Dyke (born March 1, 2001) is an American football quarterback for the Wisconsin Badgers . He previously played for the Miami Hurricanes .
High school career
Van Dyke attended Suffield Academy in Suffield, Connecticut . Over his final two high school seasons he had 4,600 passing yards and 39 passing touchdowns. He committed to the University of Miami to play college football.[ 1] [ 2]
College career
Miami (FL)
As a true freshman at Miami in 2020, Van Dyke appeared in two games as a backup to D'Eriq King . He entered 2021 as a backup to King before becoming the starter after King suffered an injury.[ 3] [ 4] [ 5] In his first start against Central Connecticut State he completed 10 of 11 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns.[ 6]
On November 27, 2023, Van Dyke announced he would be entering the transfer portal as a graduate transfer.[ 7]
Wisconsin
On December 12, 2023, Van Dyke announced that he would be transferring to Wisconsin .[ 8]
On September 14, 2024 Van Dyke tore his ACL in his right knee on the first drive against Alabama in a 42-10 loss.[ 9]
