The Thermal Power Plant No. 3 (Mongolian: Улаанбаатарын ДЦС-3) is a coal-fired power station in Khan Uul, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

History

The power station was commissioned in 1968.[1]

Technical specifications

The power station has an installed generation capacity of 198 MW.[2] In 2023, the power station used a total of 9.4 million m3 of water to generate power.[3] It also acts as a district heating for Ulaanbaatar.[4]
