I moved the previous template that was here to Template: Oakland, California neighborhoods so this template could cover a wider range of more notable topics than some of the microneighborhoods in that template. I hope its a good idea in others eyes. I listed individuals who are highly notable in Oakland's history, but I can also accept only a link to the list. My main reason both for listing individuals, and for not listing government, was simply the quality of the articles on govt and the arbitrariness of the list of oaklanders. the list includes people who may never have lived there, but who are buried there, which i dont like. The list should indicate some measure of their importance to the city. the Oakland housing authority is pretty damn important of course, but the article is a stub. so, maybe now that these articles are featured in this template, some improvements will be made to them.
