London is just too big for one template, so I've refocussed this one on the City of London. A template can also be created for each London borough. There are categories currently being created (such as Category:Churches in Camden) which will help with this. Let's see what you did:

You deleted two thirds of Template:London churches
You moved the template to Template:Churches in the City of London

But you left the old template in over 50 articles, many of which are not in the City of London. Whether this was messiness or laziness, it was highly undesirable. I am reverting the move and content back then recreating the focused Template:Churches in the City of London.
