Collapsing the y-axis
Collapsing the y-axis seems to be the norm in CoViD19 charts for other countries, so I've added it in. Still feels a bit dishonest or misleading to do so though, since it give a false sense of the growth, especially in the early stages, and will do the same at the top of the S-curve (when we get there). What do others think?
Collapse the y-axis, or not? OceanKiwi (talk) 01:37, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2020-04-06T01:37:00.000Z","author":"OceanKiwi","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-OceanKiwi-2020-04-06T01:37:00.000Z-Collapsing_the_y-axis","replies":[]}}-->
Mobile View
The standard width of this template seems to render poorly on mobile, so I've changed to "barwidth = thin". It's really too skinny for wider screens, but I'm guessing more people are going to be viewing on small screen. Tradeoffs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Again, not sure what others think? Would be great to show barwidth = medium or even greater for widescreen, but keep it to "thin" for mobile view, but not sure if that is possible?? (Above issue seems to be largely fixed now!)
Percent Increase figures?
Now that the curve is no longer exponential growth, does it make sense to switch the % growth per day to base it on the number of current infections? Including the "recovered" number paints a somewhat misleading picture as those people are no longer capable of infecting others. Thoughts? Please do not use automated date formats like {{#time}} or {{REVISIONDAY}}. Not only can these cause template errors due to incorrectly formatted dates (REVISIONDAY doesn't use leading 0s), but it is also very likely inaccurate. #time is not necessarily the date of the most recent update to the Ministry of Health's website (especially taking time zones into consideration), and the most recent revision to the page is also not necessarily when the page was accessed. It's isn't that much harder just to type the actual dates every time the information is updated. Thank you. kennethaw88 • talk19:55, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2020-07-07T19:55:00.000Z","author":"Kennethaw88","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Kennethaw88-2020-07-07T19:55:00.000Z-Dates","replies":[]}}-->
