Hobert started 2 games for the Buffalo Bills in 1997. Mathison started 10 games for the Bills in 1985. My source reflects these facts clearly:

Ferragamo was benched in 1985, allowing for Mathison to start. My bad on Hobert- the chart didn't line up properly. Should we consider Matt Cassel "starting" the very first play for the Bills, even though it was a trick play with Tyrod Taylor lining up as WR? We'll know as soon as NFL.com updates there bio's. They are officially counting it as a start, hmm.
