Simonfa is a village in Somogy County, Hungary.[2]

The welcome board at the entry of the village features that Simonfa is in the heart of Zselic. It has an inner lake, called; “Halas tó” which translates to fish pond. Tourists can spend their nights at the Meteor túristaház, which can approximately fit 40 tourists in total. It has a pub as well; Mária és Stefán büfé.

History

According to László Szita the settlement was completely Hungarian in the 18th century.[3] The Meteor túristaház back then was allegedly a school.

Simonfa got its name in 1421 which originally was Symonfalwa.
