In Summer 2010, Hampton was cast as a series regular on the ShowtimedramedyShameless as Veronica Fisher, a role for which she has received critical acclaim.[9][10][11]
In 2013, Hampton co-starred in the movie Things Never Said.[12] Hampton played a woman who tries to find the strength to leave her physically abusive husband.[13] The movie was part of the Annual American Black Film Festival,[14] the North Carolina Black Film Festival,[15] Roxbury International Film Festival,[16] the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival,[13] the Black Star Film Festival,[17] and the Laguna Film Festival.[18] She signed a deal with NBCUniversal via Universal Television more recently.[19]
Hampton stars in the lead role in the current NBC television series Found, along with serving as a producer.[20]
She has been married to Daren Dukes since March 2000.[22][23] The couple have a daughter named Cai MyAnna Dukes (born January 2014)[22] and a son named Daren O.C. Dukes (born May 2016).[24][25]
