Riku Yamada (山田 陸, Yamada Riku, born April 15, 1998) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for J2 League club V-Varen Nagasaki.[1]
Career
Riku Yamada joined J1 League club Omiya Ardija in 2017. On May 31, he debuted in J.League Cup (v Júbilo Iwata).[2][3]
After loan at Grulla Morioka, AC Nagano Parceiro and Ventforet Kofu for three years respectively. On 29 November 2020, Riku Yamada officially transferred to Ventforet Kofu for the 2021 season.[4] On 16 October 2022, he brought his club winner 2022 Emperor's Cup for the first time in history after defeat Sanfrecce Hiroshima penalty 5-4. He left the club in 2022 after three years at Kofu.
On 30 November 2022, Yamada officially transferred to Nagoya Grampus for the 2023 season.[5] He only made 13 appearances across all competitions throughout the season.
After only one season at Nagoya Grampus, Yamada transferred to J2 League club V-Varen Nagasaki for the 2024 season.[6]
