Gameplay
Rennsport is a simulation, combined with custom Unreal Engine 5 graphics.[5] The game includes both real-world and community developed fictional tracks, alongside vehicles from numerous disciplines of motorsport.[6][7][8] The game also features a free-to-download Mobile app that links to players' accounts.[9]
The game has both online and offline modes, allowing players to drive in single player, or against human competitors in an online multiplayer. On 27th March 2024 it was announced that Time Trials had been added into the game, allowing players to race against a ghost of themselves, or any other player from the global leaderboard.[10] Vehicles were developed to interact realistically with track surfaces and players must account for tyre wear, temperature and vehicle damage to drive effectively.[11] The game features a rating system, a safety rating system and as of 16 May 2024, has 10 playable tracks and 11 playable cars.[4]
