Rafsanjan County (Persian : شهرستان رفسنجان ) is in Kerman province, Iran . Its capital is the city of Rafsanjan .[ 3]
History
After the 2006 National Census, Anar District was separated from the county in the establishment of Anar County .[ 4] The village of Ferdowsiyeh was elevated to city status as Safayyeh .[ 5] After the 2016 census, the village of Javadiyeh ol Hiyeh was elevated to the status of a city.[ 6]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 291,417, in 71,830 households.[ 7] The following census in 2011 counted 287,921 people in 76,797 households.[ 8] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 311,214 in 91,511 households.[ 2]
