The show premiered on 4 October 2018,[2] and looks at the everyday workings of paramedics, healthcare professionals working mainly as part of emergency medical services (EMS) using road ambulances, helicopters, Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) and motorcycles.
The show was renewed for a second season,[3] which premiered on 11 February 2020.[4] A third season aired in 2021[5] and the fourth season premiered 29 September 2022, with the show being renewed for a fifth season in 2022. The 2024- present renewal is based in Adelaide, South Australia.[6]
Every second counts as Taz and Amanda treat a swimmer who collapses after leaving a sauna – they must act quickly to prevent a cardiac arrest. Jamie and Mike deliver friendly first-aid to a colourful character having a tough time. Natalie and Leonard find a novel way to lift an elderly patient’s spirits. Matt and his helicopter crew take flight to help a two-year-old girl who’s fallen unconscious and stopped breathing.
