Pantaleón Dalence is a province in the eastern parts of the BolivianOruro Department. Its seat is Huanuni. The province was named after the jurist Pantaleón Dalence Jiménez.
Location
Pantaleón Dalence province is one of sixteen provinces in the Oruro Department. It is located between 18° 05' and 18° 35' South and between 66° 10' and 66° 45' West.
The main language of the province is Spanish, spoken by 93.2%, while 69.8% of the population speak Quechua and 21.2% Aymara (1992).
The population decreased from 24,892 inhabitants (1992 census) to 23,608 (2001 census), a decrease of 5.2%. - 45% of the population are younger than 15 years old (1992).
