He first came to attention in Vienna in the early 1990s, working with bass clarinetist Hans Steiner.[1] He has since collaborated with musicians such as Stefan Németh, Franz Koglmann, Hannes Enzlberger, Steinaich Irrding, Burkhard Stangl, Oswald Eggers, Achim Tang and Paul Skrepek,[2] among many others.[3] Together with Kristine Tornquist he wrote the opera "Das Totenschiff", which premiered in 2018.[4]
He also wrote the book "Ich bleib in der Stadt und verreise".[5][6][7]
^"Kritik: Wean Hean", Die Presse, 13 October 2004. "Aichinger sammelte Granden wie Vincenz Wizlsperger, Paul Skrepek ("Kollegium Kalksburg") Richard Klammer, Martin Zrost ("Trio Exklusiv"), den einstigen Ober-Knödel Christoph Dienz und die holde Bratschistin Petra Ackermann, um jazzige Ausfahrten von der resignativen Autobahn der Wienerlied-Lieblichkeit zu suchen. Das gelang nur bedingt."
