In February 2018, he was transferred out to the FC Chernihiv in the Ukrainian Second League but was listed as a third goalie and did not get much of playtime partially due to his young age. After a season he was loaned to the second Avangard Korukivka. In Avangard Korukivka Roshchynskyi was struggling to make to a senior squad as well.

In 2020, Roshchynskyi returned by loan to FC Chernihiv in the Ukrainian Second League and made his debut for the club against Rubikon Kyiv. 18 August 2021 he played in the Second preliminary round of the 2021–22 Ukrainian Cup against Chaika Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, saving a penalty and helping his team advance to the next round for the first time in club history.[6][7] On 8 April 2023 he made his Ukrainian First League debut against Mariupol, replacing Oleksandr Shyray, who played from the start of the match, was sent off for rough play in the penalty area.[8][9][10] On 2 September 2023, he saved a penalty by Simon Galoyan against Kremin at the Yunist Stadium in Ukrainian First League.[11][12][13] The 2023-24 season was a real breakthrough for Roshchynskyi, 6 first-half games for Chernihiv, but after found the competition very fierce due to the return to the team of Oleksandr Shyray after injury
