Indian Paralympian (born 2000)
Navdeep Singh (born 11 November 2000) is an Indian para-athlete and javelin thrower .[ 1] He won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics .[ 2] He has also been a bronze medalist at the World Championships .[ 3]
Personal life
Navdeep Singh hails from Panipat , Haryana , India.[ 4] His father was a farmer in the village and also ran a milk dairy in the city.
He did his graduation from Sri Venkateswara College , Delhi University .
Career
In 2017, Singh won the gold medal for India in the men's javelin F41 event at Asian Youth Para Games , Dubai .[ 5] He proceeded to win the gold medal at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2021 in Dubai.[ 6] [ 7]
Singh finished fourth in javelin throw F41 at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics . He won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics .[ 8] He is also a Income tax inspector.
