Genus of bacteria
Metabacterium polyspora is an unusual multiple endospore-producing bacterium isolated from the cecum of guinea pigs.[1] This bacterium is physically similar to the phylogenetically related surgeonfish intestinal symbiont Epulopiscium fishelsoni.[2]
