Krampelj was a member of youth categories at Grosuplje and later Krka.
College career
In 2015, Krampelj announced his decision to attend the Creighton University in the United States and play for the Creighton Bluejays.[2] Krampelj averaged 11.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game as a redshirt sophomore, hitting 67.1-percent of his field goals. However, he tore his ACL in a game against Seton Hall on January 17, 2018, and was forced to miss the rest of the season.[3] As a redshirt junior, Krampelj averaged 13.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, shooting 59.2 percent from the floor. He was named Honorable Mention All-Big East and led the Bluejays to a 20–15 record, advancing to the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament. After the season, he opted to forego his final season of eligibility and enter the NBA draft.[4]
On 20 August 2020, Krampelj signed with GTK Gliwice of the PLK.[7] In seven games he averaged 10.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Krampelj parted ways with the team on October 9.[8]
Sioux Falls Skyforce (2021–2022)
In October 2021, Krampelj joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce from the available player pool.[9] On 3 February 2022, Krampelj was removed from the team by the Skyforce.[10]
On 10 February 2022, Krampelj was reacquired and activated by Sioux Falls.[10] He played 31 games and averaged 9.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 19.5 minutes.[11]
