Margaux Salcedo

Margaux Salcedo is an undersecretary of the Department of Budget and Management in the Philippines.[1][2][3][4]

She is part of the Philippine economic team that conducted the Post-SONA Economic Briefing in 2023[5] and moderated the Philippine Economic Briefing in New York[6] and other major cities around the world as well as the Philippine Economic Briefings in key cities in the Philippines.[7][8][9]

She is in charge of Advocacy, Capacity Development, Economic Affairs, and Stakeholder Relations[10] at the Department of Budget and Management.[11]

Education

Salcedo earned her bachelor's degree in economics from De La Salle University. She has a Juris Doctor from the Ateneo Law School where she was editor of the Ateneo Law Journal.[12]

Career

Salcedo was a media personality and former news anchor of GMA News Live.

She is a former columnist of the Philippine Daily Inquirer.[13] She was also the presidential campaign spokesperson of former president Joseph Estrada.[14]

Publications and awards

Salcedo is the founding editor-in-chief of the faith website Dominus Est,[15] which won the St. Pope John Paul II Award and the Best Website Award at the 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards in 2023.[16][17]
