In week eleven of ten of the 2022 season, Delane recorded his first career interception in a loss versus Duke.[4] He finished his freshman season in 2022 with 38 tackles with three and a half being for a loss, eight pass deflections, an interception, and two forced fumbles in eight games,[5] earning FWAA freshman All-American honors.[6] In the 2023 season, Delane notched 54 tackles with two and a half going for a loss, a pass deflection, an interception, and a fumble recovery.[7]
On December 11, 2024, Delane announced that he would enter the NCAA transfer portal.[8] Five days later, he announced his transfer to LSU.[9]
Personal life
Delane is the older brother of four-star safety Faheem Delane who is in the 2025 recruiting class.[10]
