Lutho Sipamla (born 12 May 1998) is a South African professional cricketer who plays domestic cricket for Gauteng.[1] He made his international debut for the South Africa cricket team in February 2019.[2]
In October 2018, he was named in Tshwane Spartans' squad for the first edition of the Mzansi Super League T20 tournament.[8][9] He was the joint-leading wicket-taker for the team in the tournament, with sixteen dismissals in ten matches.[10] In August 2019, he was named the Mzansi Super League Young Player of the Year at Cricket South Africa's annual award ceremony.[11]
In September 2019, he was named in the squad for the Tshwane Spartans team for the 2019 Mzansi Super League tournament.[12] In April 2021, he was named in Gauteng's squad, ahead of the 2021–22 cricket season in South Africa.[13]
International career
In July 2018, he was named in the Cricket South Africa Emerging Squad.[14] In January 2019, he was named in South Africa's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Pakistan.[15] He made his T20I debut for South Africa against Pakistan on 3 February 2019.[16] In January 2020, he was named in South Africa's One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against England.[17] He made his ODI debut on 4 February 2020, for South Africa against England.[18]
In December 2020, Sipamla was added to South Africa's Test squad for their series against Sri Lanka.[19] He made his Test debut for South Africa, against Sri Lanka, on 26 December 2020.[20]
