Lucien Leon Laviscount (/ˈlævɪskaʊnt/;[1] born 9 June 1992) is a British actor. He first came to prominence in 2007 appearing in teen drama Grange Hill. He later appeared in several television series, including ITV's Coronation Street (2009) and BBC One's Waterloo Road (2010–11).
Laviscount reached a worldwide audience in 2021 as a regular cast member in season 3 (recurring in seasons 2 and 4) in the Netflix series Emily in Paris. He plays Emily's love interest Alfie, a banker from Britain.
Early life
Laviscount was born in Burnley, Lancashire, and grew up in Read, Ribble Valley in Lancashire. He was born to Eugene Laviscount, a body builder of Antiguan descent and Sonia Laviscount who is of English descent.[2] He attended Ribblesdale High School in Clitheroe, where he was awarded 10 GCSEs, and was also a member of Carol Godby's theatre workshop in Bury.[3] He has two brothers, Louis and Jules.[4][5]
He also appeared as Jonah Kirby, a school pupil, in the TV show Waterloo Road.[7][8] Laviscount signed with SK Records in 2012, and released his debut single, "Dance With You", featuring American rapper MANN.[9]
On 22 February 2014, it was announced that Laviscount would be playing the lead role of Ennis Ross in Supernatural: Bloodlines, a spin-off to the US CW show Supernatural. He appeared in the backdoor pilot episode but the show did not get picked up. In 2015, Laviscount played a series regular role, Earl Grey, in FOX's US horror comedy series Scream Queens.[10] In 2020 Laviscount appeared as Alexander Cabot in The CW series Katy Keene.[11]
In 2021 and 2022, Laviscount appeared in the recurring role of Alfie in season two and three of the Netflix series Emily in Paris.[12]
In 2022, Laviscount starred as Jay in BBC 3-part comedy Peacock.[13][14]
In 2024, Laviscount appeared in the film This Time Next Year, based on the book of the same name (released in June), and as the love interest in the music video Puntería by Shakira and Cardi B. [15][16]
Other ventures
With Zac Lichman, Laviscount opened two Kensal Rise joints: The Shop NW10, a cocktail bar and café, in 2018 and The Wealthy Beggar, a dive bar with food from Gareth Drew, in 2022.[17][18]
Laviscount and Lichman spearheaded a homelessness awareness campaign A Deed A Day with radio presenter Rio Fredrika and model and then partner Ana Tanaka. For Christmas 2018, the group ran a soup kitchen out of Laviscount and Lichman's The Shop NW10.[20][21]
Laviscount played football for England in Soccer Aid 2022.[22]
