The minister of asylum and migration (Dutch : Minister van Asiel en Migratie ) is the head of the Ministry of Asylum and Migration and a member of the cabinet of the Netherlands and the Council of Ministers .[ 1] The current minister is Marjolein Faber of the Party for Freedom (PVV), who has been in office since 2 July 2024.

Between 2002 and 2006, a minister without portfolio of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations was responsible for immigration and asylum.
State Secretaries for Justice and Security (2017–2024)
Between 2017 and 2024, a state secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Security was responsible for immigration and asylum. This state secretary was allowed to use the title "Minister for Migration" abroad.
Ministers of Asylum and Migration (2024–present)
Since 2024, the minister heading the Ministry of Asylum and Migration has been responsible for immigration and asylum.
