Hosie kicked 20 goals in 10 games for North Melbourne's reserves team, but he struggled to break into the team.[7] Hosie debuted in North Melbourne's 33-point loss to Geelong in the 10th round of the 2020 AFL season.[7] On debut, he kicked two goals in the opening quarter.[8] He also picked up 9 disposals, 2 tackles and a mark throughout the rest of the game.[9] Hosie was delisted by North Melbourne at the end of the 2020 AFL season after a mass delisting by North Melbourne which saw 11 players cut from the team's list.[10] Hosie then returned to Adelaide to again play for Glenelg. He was selected to represent South Australia against Western Australia in their interstate match in 2021.[11]
