At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 2,518 in 882 households.[5] There were 1,969 inhabitants in 706 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 2,021 in 799 households. The most populous of its 20 villages was Qalhar, with 618 people.[2]
