Hasan Seyidbeyli (Azerbaijani: Həsən Mehdi oğlu Seyidbəyli) was a Soviet and Azerbaijani writer, dramatist, screenwriter and film director.
Biography
Hasan Seyidbeyli was born in Baku. In 1938-1939, he studied at Leningrad Institute of Film Directors. In 1942, his literary activity began. In 1943, he continued his education at the director faculty of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (with Sergei Eisenstein and Grigori Kozintsev).[1] Member of the Communist Party since 1955.
From 1963 to 1980, he was the chairman of Azerbaijan Union of Filmmakers.
He died in Baku at the age of 59.
