The son of John Harrison (1852-1909),[2] and Margaret Harrison (1864-1927), née Finlayson,[3] Henry Hopetoun Harrison was born at Walhalla, Victoria on 1 January 1901.
^Note that Maplestone (1996, p.465) mistakenly has Harry Harrison playing 5 senior games in 1924. In fact, it was his brother Joe who played in those five games.
