Gloria Gorceag (born 21 November 1987) is a Moldovan singer, songwriter and television presenter. She became famous in the Republic of Moldova in 2008 after she participated on the talent show Fabrica de staruri, where she was a finalist.[1]
Life and career
1987–2008: Early life and career beginnings
Gloria[2][3][4] was born on 21 November 1987 in Soroca, Republic Of Moldova. She graduated Romanian-German high school Mihail Kogălniceanu. In 2007 she starts her studies at Universitatea Tehnică din Republica Moldova faculty of town and country planning, but she quickly realizes that this is not the profession that she wants to do in life and transfers to the faculty of Interior Design at Universitatea Perspectiva where she studies for a year and a half but then is dropping out to start her studies in 2009 at Moldova State University faculty of journalism and communication sciences.
She loved music from an early age, growing up in a family that listened to a lot of international music. She was influenced by the music on MTV. She also sang in the school choir and as a soloist, participating in festivals, district competitions. In 2007 – 2008 she hosts a TV show Alege melodia. In 2008 she becomes a contestant on the talent show Fabrica de staruri.
2015–present
In 2015, 2016[5] and 2017 presents one of the national selections for Eurovision. Since 2018 she is the host of her own Talk Show Istoriile Gloriei. In 2019 she released her hit-single Tudore featuring Lia Taburcean which received over 10 million views on YouTube.[6][7]
