Ganaveh County (Luri and Persian: شهرستان گناوه) is in Bushehr province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Bandar Ganaveh.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the county's population was 82,937 in 17,701 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 90,493 people in 22,355 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 102,484 in 28,181 households.[2]

Abū-Saʿīd Jannābī, the founder of the Qarmatian state, was from Ganaveh. The people of Ganaveh speak the Luri language.
