Esbu Kola (Persian: اسبوكلا, also Romanized as Esbū Kolā; also known as Esmū Kolā)[1] is a village in Lafur Rural District, North Savadkuh County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 43, in 20 families.[2]

History

The completion of the Alborz (Lefur) Dam in 1997 resulted in much of the area of the village being flooded. Most of the 120 families at the site migrated to nearby cities, leaving only a small population of people staying at the site, especially after electricity was cut off.[3]
