Sporting event delegation
El Salvador competed in the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima , Peru from July 26 to August 11, 2019.[ 1] [ 2]
On July 1, 2019, archer Roberto Hernández was named as the country's flag bearer during the opening ceremony .[ 3] On the same day the El Salvador Olympic Committee announced the full team of 56 athletes (29 men and 27 women) competing in 21 sports.[ 4] Later three athletes (one man and two women) were added to the team.

Archery
At the first qualifier, El Salvador won two quota spots (one each in men's recurve compound).[ 5] El Salvador would later qualify a woman in the recurve category in the final qualification tournament.[ 6] [ 7]
Artistic swimming
El Salvador qualified a duet of two athletes, marking the first time the country has competed in the sport since 2003 .[ 8] [ 9]
