Diego Basilio León Blanco (born 3 April 2007) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a left-back or left wing-back for Cerro Porteño.
Club career
León was born on 3 April 2007 in Colonia Yguazú, Paraguay. He is a native of Colonia Yguazú, Paraguay. He is the son of Brigida Blanco.[1] He mainly operates as a defender. He specifically operates as a left-back. León is left-footed. As a youth player, he joined the youth academy of Cerro Porteño. He joined the club at under-14 level.
León started his senior career with them. He has been described as "one of the great promises of Paraguayan football".[2] He has received interest from clubs in the English Premier League. On 2 August 2024, León debuted for the club during a 1–0 win over Sportivo Ameliano. On 2 August 2024, he scored his first goal for them during a 1–0 win over Sportivo Ameliano.[3]
