In 2013, Kiakola District was separated from Qaem Shahr County in the establishment of Simorgh County, and Dasht-e Kenar Rural District was created in the new Central District.[3]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2016 National Census, the rural district's population was 2,107 in 749 households. The most populous of its five villages was Tan Bela, with 472 people.[2]
