In the 2020 regular season finale, Edwards had a breakout game rushing for 103 yards and his first career touchdown, as he helped the Bulldogs beat Missouri.[5][6] Edwards finished the 2020 season with 218 yards and a touchdown on 37 carries, while also catching one pass for three yards.[7] In week four of the 2021 season, Edwards rushed for a touchdown and forced a fumble in a 62–0 win over Vanderbilt.[8][9] Edwards finished the 2021 season with 215 yards and three touchdowns on 49 carries, while also bringing in two receptions for 42 yards.[10] In the 2021 season Edwards helped guide the Georgia Bulldogs to a national championship win.[11] In week six of the 2022 season, Edwards rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns as he helped Georgia beat Auburn.[12][13] In week nine, Edwards rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns as he helped the Bulldogs beat Florida.[14] Edwards finished the 2022 season as his best, rushing 140 times for 769 yards and seven touchdowns, while also hauling in 14 receptions for 101 yards.[15] Edwards would again help guide the Bulldogs to consecutive national championships in back to back years.[16]
