Cian (Irish:[ˈciənˠ]; Old Irish: Cían) is a Gaelicgiven name meaning "ancient".[1] Cian was the eighth most popular Irish boy's name in Ireland in 2003[citation needed], and the fourteenth most popular in 2015.[2] Anglicisations of Cian include Kian or Kyan.[3]
