Chen Baoguo (Chinese: 陈宝国; born 9 March 1956) is a Chinese actor. He is the President of CFPS (the China Film Performance Society), Chairman of CTAA Actor's Committee (China TV Artists Association). He graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in 1977 and has since acted in many films and television series, including The Emperor in Han Dynasty, Da Zhai Men and Rob-B-Hood.[1][2] He is married to actress Zhao Kui'e (赵奎娥).[3] In 2020, he became the first Chinese actor to win two-round "Grand Slam", after winning the "Best Actor" award at least twice at the three most prestigious Chinese television awards including the Feitian Award, the Golden Eagle Award and the Magnolia Award.[4]
Chen was known for his role in drama series Three Dimensional People (1982), adapted from a best-selling novel.[citation needed] The series was one of the most popular television shows of the year. Chen was nominated for the Golden Rooster Award for Best Actor for his performance in Peking Duck Restaurant (1991).[citation needed] Chen won the Feitian Award for Outstanding Actor three times: for Hanwu Emperor (2005), Tea House (2011) and All Quiet in Peking (2014).[5]
