Broșteni (Moldovan Cyrillic: Броштень, Ukrainian: Броштяни, Broshtiany, Russian: Броштяны, Broshtiany) is a village in the Rîbnița District of Transnistria, Moldova.[1] It has since 1990 been administered as a part of the breakaway Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR). According to the 2004 census, the village's population was 496, of which 401 (80.84%) were Moldovans (Romanians), 75 (15.12%) Ukrainians and 12 (2.41%) Russians.[2]
