BIG FM is one of India’s largest radio networks with 58 stations, reaching 1.9K towns, 1.2 lacs villages and over 34 crore Indians across the country. BIG FM has evolved with the changing times, playing a meaningful, relevant and compelling role in the lives of consumers. Its tag line - ‘Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho’ reflects the philosophy that ‘Changing the world for the better starts with changing your thoughts’. BIG FM is known for its marquee shows such as Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho, Suhana Safar with Annu Kapoor, Yaadon Ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra and BIG Golden Voice amongst others. In June 2022, BIG FM announced BIG World – a slew of offerings emanating from its core strengths which can be tapped into by clients to engage with consumers in the new digital world.

History

BIG FM was launched in September 2006 by Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd. With a strategic expansion, it quickly became one of the largest radio networks in India. The initial growth saw the network reach metros and Tier-2 cities, bringing a unique mix of retro music, contemporary hits, and localized content tailored to each region's audience. Over the years, BIG FM has consistently innovated in its programming, introducing new formats, RJ-driven shows, and theme-based content that resonate with different demographics. Awards and Recognition

Over the years, BIG FM has consistently excelled in the radio industry, winning numerous awards across prestigious forums for both its impactful campaigns and talented RJs. In 2015, Annu Kapoor won RJ of the Year at the Golden Mikes for Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor, while Yaadon Ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra earned multiple awards. The BIG Green Ganesha campaign in 2018 was honored for promoting eco-friendly practices and that year also saw RJ Sangram and RJ Shruti win accolades at the Indian Radio Forum. In 2019, BIG FM gained further recognition at the New York Festivals Radio Awards for the show Actor Calling Actor, with Neelesh Misra winning RJ of the Year.

BIG FM's success continued with impactful campaigns in recent years. The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Suraksha Bandhan campaigns in 2022 received awards for their creativity and social relevance, alongside the Slay Nation - Unfollow Drugs initiative and Super Duper Dhamaka. In 2023, campaigns like BIG Impact Awards, Sutta Chod De Na Yaar and Jal Yatra were recognised for addressing key social issues. In 2023 and 2024, RJ Vrajesh Hirjee was named RJ of the Year, while RJ Abhilash won for Mumbai Ka Sabse Bada Struggler. Also, Annu Kapoor secured the title of Celebrity RJ of the Year, further reinforcing BIG FM's reputation for compelling content and influential voices.
